I wouldn't say the original XBOX owners were shafted. The PS1 came out in 1996 (in NA) and the PS2 came out in Jan of 2000 (NA). The XBOX came out in 2001 and the xbox 360 came out in 2005. nearly four years to the day. The whole backwards compatibility thing isn't the best however how many people buy original titles and use those on the new system? If that is such a big issue can't the old system be used to play the old systems games?

I highly doubt that all of the "personalized" material that one has received has been original. I guess it depends on how far you're willing to go, example, does changing ones name on something make it more personalized? I'm sure college rejection letters are fairly standard as well, pick a few points that are unique to the individual and the rest follows a pattern. Is that not personalized? Or are you confusing it with it being unique/original?

http://www.answers.com/topic/share-p2p I realize that WinNY is no longer being actively developed (Share seems to be the replacement) since the Creator was nabbed but it still has quite a following. Share is very quick (I usually get 100+kb/sec) it just takes a little while for your cache to build up. Both WinNY and Share are pretty anon, they work similar to freenet. While the content is more Japanese oriented there are english nodes. I still use eMule due to the variety however it isn't the quickest, I am sure there are popular mods that can adjust your score etc....

I have a Phillips and it reads Memorex and Sony CD-Rs and for DVD-R media it supports Sony, TDK, Verbatim (haven't tested any others). I think it just varies. The thompsons are horrible with CDR media but support a widerrange of DVD-R. I'll have a spreadsheet i'll post when I get home with a nice list of media and which drives they work best with. Samgsung seem to be the best by far. An easy way to check is if the drive tray looks like a U +O then it is thompson, Phillips has a U and Samsung has holes + U in the tray. Piece o cake to swap the drives around.
