It's also fair to say that it's NOT true that if RMS hadn't done what he did that someone else would have. It is not to be taken for granted by anyone that without RMS & FSF, sooner or later we would have ended up in essentially the same place we are today.
Both Flash 8 and the Windows version of Firefox work in Wine. I just use that when I'm trying to load a Flash site that doesn't work in the Linux version.
Why would Microsoft want their games to have a longer life? They don't make any money when you re-play your old games. They make money when you buy new ones. It's in Microsoft's best interest to make sure you buy new games as often as possible, which means that they should be trying to make their games have as short a life as possible while still being long enough for you to keep buying them.
Microsoft undoubtedly has their reasons for this, but giving games a longer life isn't one of them.
The Nazis in the original Medal of Honor didn't say "oh sh*t", but they would throw the grenade right back at you 90% of the time. 'Twas quite the pain in the ass.
I thought the gameplay in Soul Reaver was great, with the enemies that couldn't be killed just by whacking them enough times, the puzzle-based boss fights, etc. True, there were a few too many block puzzles, but even they managed to do innovative things with the standard block puzzle design. Unfortunately, the gameplay went on a fairly steady downward slide through SR2 and Defiance.
Windows XP isn't constantly making use of your video card's 3D accelerator chip the way OSX does. That could be part of the reason for the difference in temperature.
The NES murdered the Master System because of the monopolistic business practices Nintendo engaged in at the time. The Genesis was a stunning success considering it went up against a company who had near-100% market share at the time. SFII was released for the SNES long before it was released for the Genesis, with only the technology limiting content (animation frames removed due to differences in memory between the arcade boards and the SNES.)
The Saturn had superior 2D to the PS1, but its 3D was crap. In terms of what people actually wanted at the time, the PS1 was the technically superior system.

It means penis!
His mouth is in his head.
It's $690, which makes it slightly cheaper than a genuine SCO license for the Linux kernel, plus you get a phone with it! Good deal, I say.

Revenge of the PAtriarch was pretty cool. Never got a chance to play the sequel, though.
There can be only one!

They are here to protect you. Do you have stairs in your house?
I don't see why you say that. After all, Osama Bin Laden isn't in jail, is he?
Trained Dingo. That handle most animation these days.
Read his book, then. His Catholocism was a very strong motivation for what he did.
Do a google search for LTris. Best version of the game I've found for the PC, and it's Linux native.
Aquaman can control the creatures of the sea, which logically includes pirates. The ninja doesn't stand a chance.

No, the structure of the American electoral system prevents the third party candidates from doing any good.
I guess the vacuum of space would be the best place to hoover...
You spoony AC!
Flight sims with a thumbstick? Are you insane?
SFII never had any blood, even in the arcade. You're thinking of Mortal Kombat.

> get no tea
Plus it'd have a hell of a lot of surface area to armour, with a relatively small internal volume. Best to just use a tank.
