I don't think that is possible because a tuner tunes itself to a certain frequency. it does not receive them all at once and filter out everything but what it needs. My understanding is, the actual tuning hardware adjusts to a certain frequency and amplifies those waves only. To get multiple signals at once, you would have to find the highest common factor of the two (or more) waves and do more tuning and filtering from there.
That is what TV Tuners are for. You could get an extra tuner and hook it up. You could buy a few tuner cards for a computer and record them all at once.
I guess I won't be moving to Australia. *checks another country off a small list*
I was hoping I could escape our (America's and the rest of the Western world's) crazy possible 1984ish future by moving down under. I would still like to see New Zealand though. And they seem to be stubbornly American independant according to a kiwi friend.
It is pretty amazing that Steve Jobs had the guts to set up shop in a linux expo. By the same token, I applaud him for taking notice of and respecting the linux community. Certain other OS vendors try to hide linux in the closet and pretend that it isn't a serious undertaking.
I wonder if they have decided to add CD keys to their expansion packs now. My guess is no, there isn't any good reason to. But then again, why have CD keys on any of their titles? From what I have read, publishers make them add that sort of "copy protection" to their products.
Have you been able to keep up on all the technological changes through the years? If not, do you plan on bying masses of books and hardware? If so, what did you do to stay sufficiently up to date?
It is a satire. They listed like 10 media players that are vulnerable, and forgot to mention which p2p clients are vulnerable, just pretended that they all are. The people who are supposing that this might be a real threat, are the same people who watched Hackers and thought that the real hacking world would be like that. I thought it was a good joke yesterday when I read it, now it is front page news:(
He forgot to exclude 'VBScript' and 'VB Script'. Doesn't make a big difference in the order or language demand. Just an interesting little fault to point out in his method.
I think a lot of electricity would be required to melt that volume of ice almost instantaniously. power lines are stationary. they can afford to run it for 10 seconds or even minutes to melt it. Spinning tires are a different story, Im afraid.
Using this on skis and snow mobiles would be interesting. If this discovery is applicable to real life beyond melting lines, it could be very powerful. I doubt it will be life changing though. Most discoveries add small conveniences to life.
You might want to check out PHPGroupWare. Calendar, mail, project management, etc. in one web service system. If I were a corporation, I think I would be interested. If only Free Software projects reached the attention of the people who need it.
It costs them more per month to support P2P than they receive in revenue from their customers? I am surprised that they are encouraging and even forcing customers to stop their service and go to a competitor.
this post wasn't meant as a trolling rant about supercorporations taking over the world. I was refering to the recent support by Microsoft for Mono. And if anyone cared to do a little digging, he or she would find that the Mono Project will readily tell you that they aren't trying to replace.NET, their goal is to make it portable (a good thing).
Yes, Real is doing this for money and not to hurt people. I agree. I guess I just wanted to take into account their lack of interest in their customers' satisfaction before forgiving any past mistakes. Point taken.
Hey, That idea is my intellectual property. Time to get out the ol' IP Army again...

hehe. now THOSE are some flames. Please don't post if you don't care what other people think. This is a community.

Imagine what an effective work force we would have if people promptly said "Hai!" and could cheer with "Yatta! Yatta!" :)
DotGNU Portable.NET can compile C# code to Java. The libraries are lacking, but more support is in the works.

This is almost as silly as forcing drug lords to give away vouchers for free drugs. Not quite that bad, but similar effect.
why are you posting to it?
Oh good! I won't be needing a palm pilot any more. I can just write on my hand. Well, the cells in my hand.
