I, personally, prefer CRTs for gaming, but my wife has been begging me for a LCD for a long time to coserve desk space. I am just waiting for the prices to drop.
Makes sense. Good PR move for the folks at Apple. Kill two birds with one stone. Get rid of the overstock of the discontinued 5GB iPods and look good in the public's eye.
I have yet to see a single person actually use Kazaa or anyother P2P ware to chat. I don't see this being a very good tactic for the RIAA to use. Half those people sharing files on Kazaa are not even at thier PCs most of the time to see these messages anyway. Better luck next time RIAA!
DVD's are not going anywhere for at least another 5-10 years. Look how long the CD has lasted. THey tried to replace it with the MiniDisc and that did not even phase it. Cd's and DVD's are just too easily produced and cheap as well, which gives them good staying power in any market.
It is tactics like this that make musicians, like myself, tend to look to the small indie lables or even cosign our own cds out to local music shops. It really bothers me the way the RIAA cotrols the artistic sense of a musiician. I will gladly put my own music on various P2P nets just to get it heard. I have downloaded many songs then turned around and bought that artist's cd because I liked what I heard. It seems the RIAA is more concerned with the almighty dollar that the beautiful sound of music.
I still don't understand how sites like Amazon can get away with not honoring posted prices. In the US when a brick and mortar store mis-lables or mis-prices an item they have to honor the mis-labled price. I even think it is a law. Why is it not the same for online shopping?
Of course it will always be nearly impossible to find a balanced and unbiased news source, but when it comes to science and tecnology it seems like the major news outlets only like to report on the latest gadgets and anything that will "make life easier". I tent to surf the internet to find my latest science news and reports. I find it easier to visit the sites of those actually doing the scietific studies/experiments. It is easier to get the full story that way.
I am all for space exploration, and sending probes out on new fact finding missions. Why do we need to send one all the way to Pluto? Is it that much of a concern to us? We know it is a barren icy wasteland, what more do we need? Not to mention it will take it 12 yeaars to get there! I am sure there is much more closer objects and items we could explore that would be more cost effective.
I knew something like this was going to happen somewhere in the first three episodes...
It is hard to write prequels for movies that have such a long expansive storyline. I think Lucas thought he could do it all in just three prequels, but now he has realized that he has got in over his head and these clone wars cartoons are just him saving grace. I doubt it will work though. I just hope the transitions from film to cartoon and back to film are seamless.
For the price of most PC Surround sound speakers and cards you could buy a nice Surround Sound stereo system and run your PC audio through it, and it usually sounds alot better. I have seen it done mayof times and the sound quality is superb.
IMHO, I think it has to do with the deeper stories about mans plight with technology and how it seems to be taking over our lives. Plus it seems the artistry is a little more alluring. Don't get me wrong, Comics are great in thier own right. It just seems that people can get a little tired of super heroes after a while...
What are you going to download? The same Matrix movie that has been out since 1999? Are you really going to watch the extra footage? Why waste the awesome bandwith that KOrnet has. Get some more games instead.
funny, I read all this on my government pc which is a dell running win2k...this is not news to me...
get DirecTV...still cheaper than cable.
Long live the 18 in dish!
Is it that big of a deal if a child cannot write in cursive?
I agree as well.

Nice. I use Mozilla, but I visited your site with IE and I love the message...then BANG, no more IE! AWESOME!

I wonder if Al Gore realized this when he invented it...

Not a sermon, just a thought.
My new law/observation/theory/detriment/prophesy is:
Every 18 [eighteen] months a new faster and more powerful processor is released to the masses that makes my 1Ghz seem obsolete.
Not a sermon, just a thought.
Solar Pants...hmmm...gives new meaning to Hot Pants!
sounds like intel has finnaly decided to jump on the bandwagon...but what is up with that name? Centrino?
For God's sake Bob get back to work!
Acutally Creative makes a 7.1 setup...are you impressed?

For all of you still trying to watch the streamed QT version online, you can now download the High Def version (145Mb) on Kazaa.
I already got one...it is called a wife.

I already have the original Matrix DVD and VHS. I think I will wait until next year when the whole triligy is released as a special edition box set.
