I find the opposite to be true in your skrysak.com article on how to be a good employee. Here, no one notices how early you come in, only how late you stay. Personally, I would love to come in early, but with late afternoon assignments that have to be "done before you go", I gave up and have shifted to two hours later in an attempt to reduce the amount of time spent at work.:sigh:
I'm not impressed by the Odyssey requiring one level better tires, if the 356 was not offered the same modern tires. 225/60 on the Odyssey versus meager (probably) 165/78 on the 356 is far and away enough to justify a performance difference. Two inches in tread width is not insignificant, nor is the ~25% difference in aspect ratio.
I've never seen a public bathroom (i.e. restaurant, job, etc.) designed to be used without touching things. It's not so dificult, so... why not?
A mallbetween my home and work features touchless sinks, touchless soap, and touchless paper towel dispensing. About the only thing left is that the door is manual.
I am very much considering ReplayTV. At $112 or so from Amazon, it seems reasonable, plus with broadband out of the box, it should actually be usable in my cable modem only, no landline house. TiVo doesn't seem to have an ethernet adapter, and if I switch to satellite tv they seem to require landlines, at least for initialization.
Compressed air in general isn't especially environmentally friendly, at least from an efficiency perspective. It gets used more for convenience and cheapness of actuators. See this link for a quick comparison between an electric and air motor.
(Not that you'd want any more electrical stuff around fireworks than you need.)
I can't see why the M3 is excluded - it is a regular 3 series, more or less just with a 100 odd extra horsepower. I tried looking for exclusions, but didn't see any, so my hunch is that it's an oversight. For reference, bmwusa.com, the CD changer is an option on the M3, leading me to believe it should work.
If it was going to take five minutes instead of four, you'd probably want a 25% (or more) increase in battery life - 20% would die before you were done.
I made a few bucks around the PS2 launch buying them for $300 and selling them with a markup. It probably depends on how much the kids are begging for it around Christmas time.
I believe some vehicle manufacturers are looking to get their navigation systems to do something similar - use a heads up type display to overlay arrows onto the actual street. As long as you got the transparency of the arrow right, it needn't be intrusive and would be easier than referring to a nav screen, and it would be not language specific, a nice plus.
It's not intentional to screw over the repair person/customer, but to make assembly easier. When, for example, the domestics have expensive labor in the plants, ever part that can be combined at a supplier is one less step of labor that they have to pay for at the higher rates.
And years ago, the average American spent X amount of time listening to the radio, and before that, books. Years from now, it will be the internet, and then after that people will waste time on the holodeck.
So your problem is with people, and not tv, right?
Game developers telling movie producers to include a car chase in their movie, as they have already written a great driving section for the spin-off game?
I swear this is the only reason for that conveyor belt/factory sequence in Attack of the Clones.

For example, if autos.yahoo.com is right, the Prius is longer than the Escape hybrid.
it's boring and frustrating to watch someone type slowly, especially if you are helping them.

Sony says the PS2 is progressive scan - do you have a contradictory cite?

If you promise it will help, I'll start floating a sign over my head.
Personally, I don't mind telling a single person "just looking" or whatever, but by the third in the same department one is driven to madness.
Here is a link to a story on research that indicates homeschool children are NOT socially inept.

I was confused enough by the switch to blue light, now they can use a green light?

Great, you slashdotted their warehouse.
(BTW, the spelling error is the vendor's.)

Ford loses Futura to Pep Boys
Ford also couldn't get GT-40 back from a pretty small company.
This comment may be of interest - it talks about drop frame.

BMW offers European Delivery, also Volvo, Saab, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, and maybe a few more I'm too lazy to look up, offer similar programs.
Hatchback Foci (ZX3 or ZX5) are assembled in Hermosillo, Mexico. The sedans and wagons are made in Wayne, Michigan.
This will change in a bit when all Focus assembled is condensed into the Wayne facility.
