Too bad RAMBUS doesn't share your faith in their own technology. They didn't care which RAM was better, their plan was to hit DDR suppliers with ever-increasing licensing fees, forcing them to raise prices until RDRAM was cheaper than DDR, and take over the market that way.
There's also "error propagation", which means that if you made a mistake in step 1 and used the result to get the wrong answer for steps 2-5, you will still get credit for using the formulas correctly on the bad number in 2-5.
A lot of people have pointed out that Apple is about to release their own P2P program. This will not be exactly the same as iCommune. The plugin allows you to copy music over the network; the rendezvous-enabled iTunes will only stream it.
That was the problem. They did ban him, from the web servers they owned and operated, and he kept getting in. Businesses still have the right to refuse service.
I'm not saying the lawsuit is the best solution, but the right to troll is, as they say, essentially identical to the right to yell fire in a crowded theater, and the latter has been explicitly named as *not* protected speech. And there is NO constitutional right to use a message board against the wishes of its owner.
Of course making calculators and light bulbs with this device is stupid and unprofitable. The real power of this device will be to allow designs and products that cannot be manufactured by any other means. Eliminate the parts of the product that are only used to hold the pieces together. Eliminate complexities and potential sources of problem from manufacturing components seperately or by seperate processes. Consider a cell phone made by this method... It would be a single chunk of plastic. Completely customizable color and shape and button layout. Waterproof, impossible to tamper with and nearly indestructible (the circuits are embedded in the plastic and the buttons are just flexible or touch-sensitive areas of the sealed shell).

I'm pretty sure current 3D printing methods take place in a vacuum anyway. And light bulbs don't contain vacuum, but rather inert gases designed to retard the disintegration of the filament.
You haven't listed anything I can't do by command-clicking in Safari (open link in new window). Or command-shift-click to open a new window BEHIND the current window (discovered that just this moment while trying to come up with an argument for this post:P ).
There were 7 people total. She was counted among the Americans because she had become a US citizen, which was apparently not true of the Israeli.

We're just waiting for medkits that work the moment you step on them.
And medkits that can "scale" from healing a minor bruise with one of them to healing multiple gunshot wounds if you have 6 or 7.
Imagine a Beowulf cluster of medkits?

I've been seeing stories about this technology since the early 90s, in Popular Science and similar. It hasn't taken off yet.
You realize that if someone gets struck and seriously injured by a segway, it will be dead across the entire country?
Who do we put in our "FREE ______________" sigs now?

I'll wait and see, the G5 *might* be out by then.
Steve demoed an internal Apple version of iTunes that has this built-in. However, Apple's version will not copy, it can only stream.

You may wish to rectify that statement.

How many of the numbers do you think are actually in Massechusettes?
No, because those internet swappers will not see the ads the ad agency buys.
Too late.
