There's a listing fee on ebay. It costs money even if the thing doesn't sell. For Craigslist, you're right. But if a PS3 doesn't sell for over 700 (for a 60gb), the seller will be losing money on ebay.
Later response. Yes, but if the patent is for a remote with a trigger, that could represent the wiimote. This isn't as cut and dry as some people make it out to be.
For what its worth I believe that Nintendo will sell you a Dev Kit, for like $2K. Which while cheaper than the other Official Dev Kits, is still much more than XNA. How much more/less it allows you to do than XNA I don't know.
Given Sony's current track record, if it was Sony's wrist straps breaking, they wouldn't have even admitted that they were breaking, let alone replacing them. Hell, from what I've gathered, this isn't that big of a problem for Nintendo AND THEY'RE STILL FIXING IT. Sony only catches shit for their screw-ups because they deserve it.
Well, the reason linux can't access the video chip in the PS3 is because Sony locked it out. I don't know that there is a way around it. If there is, I'm sure somebody will find it. But that's a limitation that Sony put in, not one of drivers or linux itself.
yeah, but part of the problem with that is the console isn't selling for thousands any longer on ebay. The 60 gig model is lucky to go for more than $200 over retail. I'd say that the market has stabalized rather quickly.
yeah, when you boot a gamecube game, the system turns into a gamecube. The wireless controller won't work. I don't know that its impossible to fix that in software, but I'd imagine it is. I would say that creating some dummy device for the wii controller to look like a GC controller would have been more expensive/less compatable than just slapping the ports on there.
Except since the player guides every "evolution" in the game, its really a game about Intelligent Design isn't it? Granted, I'd imagine that most people's designs won't be so intelligent, but it fits the ID theory, no?
Shhh, you can't inject reason or moderation into this debate. It'll mess with the space time continuum or something. Then we'll have Michael J. Fox all up in our grills. And seriously, who wants that?
And I'm sure there are builds of Duke Nukem Forever floating about somewhere. Its vapor until its ships to customers.

Umm, Oblivion? its not everybody's cup of tea, but it is very good.
wait, isn't incompetent XP user redundant? ZING!

Sigh, responding to trolls. I'm not a microsoft fanboi. I'm a nintendo fanboi. Get it right next time.
No, that only applies when its something I agree with. Wait, doesn't that make me just like the people I'm condemning? Nooooooooooooooo

This is how a company should react when they screw up.

Its a picture of a large grassy field. The green areas are supposed to be grass on the map I believe.
exactly. that's what makes it truthiness
Yes, but do any of those have triggers on the bottom?

That's clever.

well then, Hoo-Ray for Fox News!
if they didn't have authority over you, their job would be kind of pointless.
only if you're a fanboi
I've heard of that happening to other people as well. I'd say its the launch rush of everybody trying to update at the same time.
20 mil now. Somehow I don't think he will collect
it doesn't matter, the guy selling it was bidding up the price. It got to 9 million before he outbid the last guy. Greedy sod.
