No, I believe there are only 3 regions for HDDVD/Blu-ray. Asia - east asia (i.e. Japan), The US, south america & Japan, europe & africa. SO there's less of a need if you like anime.
I believe that they didn't show up in itunes though after you'd purchased the tracks from the store. Now they do. At least that's what I'm assuming the grandparent was thinking.
well, after I hit submit I thought about it a little more, and its more like sony loses $100 less than they would have if you bought the $500, since the damn things are being sold at a loss.
no it isn't, the only people that would get broadcast the updates that you yourself make are the people that you've added as friends. Thus, if you didn't want all those people knowing everytime you did something, maybe they shouldn't be your friend? The things that change aren't getting sent out to everyone, just the people that you've already oked.
if you don't want this information to be out there, don't put it on facebook. How did the news feed work any differently than the real-world gossip chain? I'm amazed that people are suprised that if I say I like johnny on facebook, other people can find out about it? Eh, maybe this will convince people that they shouldn't put their whole lives on internet.
well, there will always be people that will buy crap so they can be the 1337est. I'd say that getting MS to put this stuff into DirectX and then getting developers to use it will spur enough adoption of the cards to bring prices down. It wasn't that long ago that GPUs weren't needed. It took quake and voodoo together to get people to realize what the difference could be. What are these people doing to illustrate that difference?
then why are you playing an MMO? not that your stance is wrong, but it seems counter-productive to play a massively multiplayer game and shun the massively multiplayer part.
apple's pretty good about upgrading recent orders. if they don't do it automatically, you can always call them. They'll either credit your account or give you the upgraded one. Either way, you have 2 weeks to return it I believe;)
eh, its still levels of something. you're just describing a much expanded skill tree. nothing wrong with that, just different metaphors. I don't think its possilbe to decouple these types of games from "levels" In either of our examples, they're simply a way of saying that you're better than you once were. Whether that's represented by having Sword Tech level 8532 or a 10% speed bonus is irrelevant.
yes, and we can call that sword technique, Sword Tech Level 1. And then the next Sword Tech Level 2. All levels do is give a numerical representation to amount of skill that one has in any given skill. Would it be better if you were given differently colored belts instead? Levels aren't the problem, its gameplay that is focused on them that is the problem.
yeah, there's a few other things you could do that make the main quest impossible (like killing Vivec;) In my opinion, making the important NPCs unkillable is a better option as it lets you keep whatever progress you've made between saving and the screw up, but to each their own. Fast travel definatley makes the game go by much faster it seems.
sounds like most of indiana. Those with the money spend it on crap they don't need, while everybody else just suffers cause they don't have enough. Actually, I'd imagine that's what its like in most of the country.
and what's even worse than that? its that the woman ISN'T EVEN RUBBING IT ON HER GODDAMMED FOREHEAD. she's demonstrating the product, but you can tell she's just holding it above her head and not actually using it. I swear I have to leave the room to keep from throwing something through the TV when that comes on.
your attitude toward the other players has a fair bit to do with it. I started a female night elf hunter (yay for stereotypes) in WoW and purposly played dumb when I was starting. I got loads of crap. Until I couldn't stand the idiots giving me bad advice. It seems that when you correct them once the illusion is shattered and the stuff goes away.

Three Words: Super Smashed Bros.
You die, you drink.

it makes Sony an extra $100. I'd imagine that's what's most important about it.
then don't buy an ipod? why bitch about something not being what you want when you aren't forced to buy it?

because they want you to go buy oblivion. Why isn't burnout revenge backward compatable?

probably, but do you really think MS would allow that?
yeah, verizon does this for the NSA its bad. but they do it so you can get a laptop back and they're the Good guys? Yay slashthink ;)

yeah, I'd hope that UE3 wasn't giving epic much trouble. hey! and epic's making a game that isn't an Unreal title. Awesome.
which does exactly jack shit for those in the latter half of their life.
I ask where they're taking it and tell them to use gloves.
doh, missed the original defendants. RTFA
right, because nintendo is just getting into the video game business.
