So let me get this right, this is the MTV that repeats the same 6 songs all day long. That makes this a really cheap music service for MS-MTV to implement. Minimal download bandwidth and a couple of thumb drives and they're up and running!
Can't wait to keep on *not* spending my $s with them.
If I were Sony, I'd want to make sure that the PS3 was a killer product that stuffed Microsoft so far that they decide to drop XBox entirely.
Now maybe the PSX isn't a PS3, but maybe it's a platform for testing out alot of what might be delivered as features in a future PS3. If you can bring to market a radical new gaming machine based on the 'best selling PS2' with the 'proven features' and 'easy to use interface of the PSX' then Sony really have a winner on their hands.
Part of mugging someone is the element of surpise and if they have to run to catch up with you, then their cover is blown
Surely however fast and noisily you're walking, you're always gonna be surprised from behind if you've got earbuds of any colour stuffed in your lugs pumping out your favourite tunes?
oh dear...
MS Project will not:
- help you manage your team
- make toy a better communicator
- resolve issues
- manage Risks
- help you with any of the other things that being a good team/project manager is all about
It will if you're very patient and persevering (and gifted) help you monitor the progress of tasks related to the project. It will tell you if you are late, on time, over or under budget. If you're lucky it may even help you with resourcing issues.
The tool is hardly ever the answer, communication is not the answer, it is how communication is done that makes the difference in EVERY case
All those wobbly cardboard sets and rubber clad monsters, I guess it wasn't so hard to make an animated series using the sets that they used in the 'live action' version.
In this day an age why the hell is anyone putting stuff together with so many cablkes. I can count at least 10 in the picture!
Surely they can do better than this with the Bluetooth and Wireless possibilities that exist now?
Nice idea, but I think I'll wait for the StarTrek Tricorder hologram projecting version instead
...just like the "Macintosh is easier to use than Windows" reports of old were sponsored by Apple.
Seems to me that M$ are getting increasingly up the creek without a paddle, anything that detters CIOs from investigating the Linux/Unix options is good news.
The device only has ONE F type connector for connection to Satellite LNB (I imagine the T for terrestrial version also only has one ariel feed).
If you're like me and can only get English Language TV from Satellite, then you NEED two tuners in this box. My current setup has two tuners, that means I can watch one English Channel (and pause it if I like) and record another one. I can't do that on my TV, cos it doesn't have a tuner that gets those channels.
So this box is pretty limited if Satelite is your ONLY incoming signal source (and I'm not going to buy two of them to get around the problem).
Anyone in Europe will know that Nokia have been making Satellite receivers for decades now. Quite possibly, they even 'branched out' into making cellphones.
They are certainly not NEW to this market.
The inclusion of games sounds great to me as I have more than 40 channels and there's never anything on TV to watch. Tic Tac Toe has gotta be better than watching reruns of Hart to Hart and Murder She Wrote.
...why don't ya!
Maybe automatic use of MS Update is the only way to solve this problem. This morning I read about an exploit, this afternoon it seems there is some kind of 'Virus' released that exploits it.
Now if MS hadn't told everyone of the exploit would it have been exploited by some script kiddie so quickly?
Is MS good or bad for telling us so fast of so many critical problems, the way I see it, their talk of making automatic update compulsory could be a good thing, that way they can patch the vulnerabilities and then tell us about them afterwards.
That must be better than telling all the script kiddies "Hey guys, here's a new way to screw windows users, how fast can you write something to take advantage of it then?". First prize -Infamny and a visit from the local FBI officials, Second prize...
Then again, this explains it all, no wonder they're suing everyone with these songs.
They're probably the only songs they have in their list that anyone wants and therefore, they are the only ones they can make money on either through suing or by legal sales.
This is NOT going to kill music piracy. It will just cost a few hundred/thousand/whatever people alot of money for being stupid enough to publicly and globally share stuff.
When I was (much) younger, I remember things like casette tapes, kids used borrow each others albums and record them to tape...so, I guess the outcome of all this could be a reversion to the old style of music sharing...watch out...the RIAA agents will be watching in school yards and on street corners!
OK, imagine a conversation with a Hot Girl selling Fossil PDA watches at the next trade show....ahhhh that's easier

How long before Scientists find a way to make Rocking Horses Sh1t I wonder?
We better start thinking of some new 'rare as' idioms for the 21st century...."as rare as a Micro$oft program with no bugs"...sorry too easy!
We once had a small sales office which becam a standing joke with our Network providers. The local management decided that the infrastructure supporting their whole operation couldn't possible be placed in a nice little cabinet out of the way (That would take up too much space).......so the router and LAN hubs were placed in a cupboard under the sink.
Thank god, the plumbing was fine, we never had any problems!

Maybe that nice reporter lady who told us all about the weight of clouds in terms of elephants could have a go at dumbing it down for us?

So they have that covered it seems. Fair argument, I bow to their greater wisdom...darned experts always have a smart answer for everything ;)

If we're gonna do articles at this level, why not skip the written word and do the whole article in pictures, now that would be interesting.

Is it just me or does this just seem too selective? I wonder how many other songs those people have that the RIAA doesn't care about
