I'm just leaving myself to head out to Titusville for the launch. Looking forward to capturing as many pics and videos as I can of the events. Got my handy talky all charged to listen to the rebroadcast on 2 meter.
Pretty sure Steve Wozniak has a pretty good claim on the title of Inventor of the Personal Computer though. He does hold the patent for "Microcomputer for use with video display" US Patent No. 4,136,359
Just spreading the love of Woz.
I have both a Nook and Nook Color
The Nook is best e-reader I've used so far, love it for reading.
Nook Color is a really nice little tablet. Works well for reading indoors, but I use it mostly as media player and for surfing internet. Also have a Honeycomb image on micro-sd card for when I want full Android system.
Oh yeah, Nook Color can boot an alternate OS off the micro-sd slot without rooting, and while leaving the original Nook OS intact.
Highly recommend both devices.

I would expect they might continue with their work on the design they started with Gecko. The Wii's Broadway chip is supposedly built on the Gamecube's Gecko chip.
And how do we know someone pirates movies on the internet? That's right, they believe there is a movie called Hackers 2.
There isn't, it is the name given to bootleg copies of the movie Takedown. Which has nothing to do with the movie Hackers. It is based off what is seen by some as a inaccurate telling of the events surrounding the capture of Kevin Mitnick.

Even IMDB says that title is used for bootleg versions of the movie.
"Microsoft's next-generation operating system has abandoned Intel exclusively for the first time."
I had to go and read the article, which seemed like normal "tech news" crap. Then I read this line and it rubbed me the wrong way so badly. While technically it might be true, about Windows 8, it sounds like it's implying the NT OS has only ever been on Intel chips. That would be so very wrong, Comptia A+ learning guide's version of Windows history style of wrong.
I thought of Windows as snappy once, but that was after I got Windows Server 2003 up and running on my fibre channel harddrives with fiber optic cabling.
Too well built in my opinion, I remember the little rubber sleeve on my controllers coming off. The ones on the new consoles-in-a-controller wouldn't. Was really disappointed when they didn't keep my childhood memories in tack.
I'd like to say Thank You. Id has created a beautiful, if not a little morbid sometimes, video game. The detail is amazing, even at the lowest settings. Some of the places in there, just get you going. I was personally starting to get nervous in one section. I could hear the demons, see shadows, but none to shoot. I was wishing just to let me have something to shoot and not play with me, it's an intense game. I love it, and have not been this addicted to a video game since the original Doom came out.
Id has outdone themselves, you all deserve a cold one, if I lived near you guys, I'd buy.
I had just gotten an Apple Messagepad 200, but since I got it off of ebay, I didn't have a serial adaptor for it. So the only way I had to transfer things to it, was the old messagepad 130 I had, through infrared. Which is slower than mollasses. I found online a wire diagram for the serial connector of the messagepad, and for a 9pin serial connector for pc. Well... only thing I could find to match up to the 130's serial cable was my nice ATI All In Wonder Pro:) I got out the soldering iron, removed one of the A/V connectors, soldered it into the 2000's motherboard, and used the 130's serial cable to transfer files to my 2000 for two weeks before I could afford a serial adaptor for the 2000. Surprisingly, with my desoldering and ripping up a few of the wires off the board, the ATI All In Wonder Pro still runs as good as the day I bought it. I keep the setup I made just in case I lose the "official" adaptor I bought.
Works, MS Fortran, DOS, Picture IT, Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, Windows Services for Unix, Virtual PC, MS Flight Simulator, Ages of Mythology.
Is that enough yet?
It took a week and half after my phone was supposed to be delivered to have sprint admit they screwed up my plan and that i wouldn't get my phone for another three weeks. *grr* they got laid into verbally, badly. two days later it arived via ups next day air. Still can't use it though, they won't activate it until the 28th, unless I want to pay another $100 or so to get it done now.
Hey, I got a couple of those things. make nice looking paper weights. When set along side my 6502 processors out of my C64's and my Intel 385 processor, they work pretty well for making sure my system fan doesn't blow my papers full of ip's away:)
LanParties! that's the reason for windows on my box. cause for some god awful reason Worms World Party doesn't want to install under Linux, UT2003's Linux client is slow as can be, and 3d hardware accel isn't so simple to setup under linux either.

He even has the patent to prove it. Go Woz!

What's cheesy about using digital steganography to encrypt messages within an image? It's something that is actually possible to do. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steganography#Digital_steganography

I put that phrase on a motivational poster in my cubicle when I worked in AT&T's Laptop Connect group.
And, is it unladen?
I've used it, and am still convinced it's not worth wasting money on.
"I had the same brainwashing material thrown at my mind, but luckily my will was strong enough to dismiss it out of hand and move on with my life."
I had the same thing, except it was my desire to get a good 14 hours of sleep that helped me make it through.

Nopes, didn't embed 'em in concrete. Just have an abundance of them. I have a lot of old computer hardware setting around.
