Loving and caring, with masculine qualities? Or the generic same sex parent version?

A boy needs male role models, else he comes up stunted emotionally. Aruge all you want, but it's true. You need a man to teach you how to be tough when you need to be, in measure with your caring side.

Just like a boy needs a mother to temper over-agressiveness, and teach him proper respect for women, from a female point of view.

We need both. At least I think so.

How cost effective would it be to have a 'portable' DC when you'd have to pay for at least 1 additional set of network and power connections?

First it depends on the type of lock. Most can be defeated with a credit card. This sould equate to brute force hacking of the security code.

Second, you could always try to attack the door hinges. This would look for loopholes/exploits in the module.

Third, there's almost always a wndow that can be expoited. See what happens when the code runs...does it load a dll/.so that can be changed?

Or fourth, for the truly patient...wait for the occupant to open the door himself, and invite yourself in for a visit... in programmers terms...understand how the program runs the mechanism, and then do the same yourself.

I know that this is way off topic, but I've been curious about something for quite a while. I've tried searching for this info off and on over the last couple of years...with no luck. There's no ulterior motive to my questioning..it's really just pure curiosity, from an American guy who sort of took an interest in the goings on back in the 80's.

Think about this for a second. Say for example you are supporing a production stock trading system. In this case, you genrally can get access to the underlying data.... the trade records or the customer data (accounts, SSN's, etc) ... When there's a problem, you need to look at the file/database..and there's the data.

My point has nothing to do with the client commiting a felony, it has to do with the ethics of keeping the data confidential, and not acting on the data in any way, outside of what is required for the support of that problem.

If someone at your bank were to show off the insides of your checking/savings account, you'd be pretty pissed right? That's the ethics concern I posted about.

Oh yeah, it'd be a felony as well.
