Funny thing about all of this is that the CIA and Homeland security are saying that we should not be trying to circumvent encryption in our phones as it keeps terrorists out of our business and that is far more important that trying to get into a phone that may or may not have any evidence.

My view point is: 1. Refuse on the 13th amendment. Apple does not work for the FBI. Since code is able to be copy written like a book then it would be considered speech. What we have here is the Government forcing the coders to speak in a manner that they don't want to. Then there is the Army Quatering act where the Army just can't come into your house and confiscate your property to help out with the war.
So what happens if all these coders / engineers leave Apple? Then Apple can claim they can't help out and the government would have to move on. That is from a release from the FBI and prosecutor.
One thing to note with Federal prosecutions there are no budgets as in state prosecutions. State prosecutions have budgets and they weight those when going after people and crimes. A small sheriff's department will try to determine the cost of an investigation and try to figure out ways to pay for it. The FBI can spend amounts that could put people on the moon and they just don't care. We as citizen's should care and we should let our legislators know how we feel because they hold the purse strings. Well when I used to commute to work I would ride one of my motorcycles to work every day, as long as the road was clean and dry and ice free. On days that it wasn't I rode the bus. I hated the bus. The commuter bus took the long way to work and I had to get up real early to make it to work by the same time that I started without the bus. Where I worked I was allowed to come to work anytime between 6:30 and 9:00 am. I usually like to get in by 7:00. So I could leave around 3:00 and 3:30 pm. The motorcycle was the best way to get into the city by far than any other method transportation. You can lane spit you can go up the breakdown lanes you can bob and weave in traffic. It would take me 1/2 the time to get to work on a bike than a car and it would take 3 times longer on the bus. The bus cost about 6 dollars a day to ride or you could purchase a pass for 35 dollars a month.
A bus can't operate like a motorcycle no way no how. It can't lane split, bob and weave in and out of traffic and I don't even think I want to be on a bus that is dangerous. They don't have seat belts. If anything I would like to see buses safer not less. They had a buss in Avon CT that got hit by a dump truck coming off Avon Mountain at 55 / 65 mph with no brakes. The bus caught on fire and they could not get people out because the crash damaged the front door. Those people on the bus burned alive. That whole episode burned into my brain and I thought those poor people. Buses need to be safer not less. Point is, if I ride my bike to work and do crazy stuff I'm only putting my own life at risk and no one else. That motorcycle will probably only hurt me. If I do crazy stuff in my pickup truck, I put my life in danger and others on the road but that would be 1 + whoever is in the other vehicle. So the damage is still limited. You put a bus in danger you have that thing packed with say 20 to 30 people that sucks big time.

If you don't like automation or even outsourcing our jobs over seas then I say fight back. Don't purchase stuff made in China, don't do business with companies that have all of this automation. Do business with local people you know and trust. Go to old fashioned diners. The sort of fast food restaurants like McDonald's is not the place that any human should be purchasing food from anyways. If you must go out and eat go to your local diner or bistro. If you want code written do it yourself or work with your buddies on it. Don't purchase a web site from Pakistan or someplace over seas. If you want a motorcycle part make it your self or go to your local machine shop and give them your specs and blue prints. I work from home and I have a truck, two Harley's and a ford focus. We have 3 drivers, me, my wife and my daughter. My daughter goes to college and she commutes. A couple of days a week she gets a ride or takes the bus, the other days she takes the focus when my wife doesn't need it. I guess if we lived in that town we could get rid of the ford focus because there is public transportation available, but of course I have been encouraging my daughter to use the bus more and more. The problem with the bus is it's a commuter line. Last bus out in the morning is 07:15 and the last bus out of the city is 05:30. So that curtails her college involvement if she takes the bus. I have a truck because I used it to haul wood and my Harley's when they get broken and need of fixing beyond my abilities to fix them. If the focus is taken then my wife will use the truck. I think in the end I would never live in such a place because I would never want to get rid of my truck or my Harley's.

The next thing they did was to close the only profitable business unit that GM had, Saturn, why because it was a non union shop and Obama and the democrats did not want it around any more. So killing Saturn was giving a fish to the big union bosses. Next thing they did was crush up mid life cars. Not old crappy cars but cars that were around 5 years old and were at mid life. They did all of this to drive up the price of cars. This is your tax dollars working against you. Don't you all love it? I don't know if the price of new cars will go down if automakers are allowed to sell direct, it could be a consequence but it might not. The big 3 are somewhat accountable to their dealerships and if cars get too expensive the dealers will be stuck with inventory and they will complain. Also where would we go to kick the tires and to test drive. Most people don't know what kind of car they want to buy. They might have an idea like a small car with the best gas mileage or an SUV that packs in all 20 kids and counting but they don't know from car company to car company which one has the grunt to get all 20 brats to the television shoot and has all the accessories to keep all 20 brats entertained with of course cup holder for all 20 brats, unless they went to a dealership to test drive them. With the average car costing around 30K and the average truck approaching 40K I don't know who can afford to purchase a new vehicle, not me. My sister was committed to a mental hospital in MA and she called me collect and we talked a couple minutes because I can't stand talking any longer. I got like a 35 dollar bill for that call. I live in CT and that was MA and it's crazy. My buddy keeps calling me from the joint but I don't want another 35 dollar charge. So this will be better, but I'm no longer on regular phone service, I'm on the Majickjack so I don't know how that will work unless I give him my cell number.
The old 70's designs that require massive amounts of water to keep the reactors cool seem to be an old and almost flawed design. If any of the water jacket plumbing fails you have a meltdown. I say there are more modern salt plug reactors that are more safe that we need to roll out all over the world. Right now Nuclear is the cleanest power out there. It's crazy that we are not using it more. It seem political that we are not. I say decom all the old style reactors and roll out modern designs and of course don't run any reactors on earthquake faults, near the ocean and any place that can compromise the integrity of the reactor....

When I was in the Air Force we would get issued the S&W model 15. I rarely ever had one issued to me, usually during war exercises. The AFOSI had a cool competition modified 45 1911. I think that competition modified 45 was a great weapon and would make a great standard weapon. The 45 has great stopping power and maybe the 1911 or one it's variants was probably the best military side arm ever. I know the military wants only one sidearm for all services and they don't want to use 45 acp because it's not a NATO standard bullet and the 9mm is. That all being said I think the glock or some varient of the glock would be a great alternative to the 45 and much lighter than the baretta.

Since all movies are digital most of lots to the good pirated movies are taken somewhere in the production stream. You can even try to intercept the broadcast sent out from the studios to the movie theaters. So you don't end up getting people jumping up during the movie and you don't get flashes of light form cell phones. Really everyone has a cell phone and everyone has the abiltiy to make a copy on the screen but what I have heard and read most pirating is done somewhere along the production stream...
So you go to ebay and you put in your car's model and there are mod chips for all the cars out there now. They increase performance and allow you to do exactly what VW has done with the OEM chips. So the way I see it is VW has given the public what they wanted, great fuel mileage mixed with performance and a mode that fools the man into thinking you are not polluting the atmosphere. So now the government knows that none of the VW diesels will past an emissions test. VW tried twice to send out a rom upgrade to no avail. The cars performed like crap and lost mileage. I'm kinda scared what the DOT will do now. Will they tell people they can't drive these wonderful cars? Will they force VW into a buy back? Will VW bite the bullet and retrofit a chemical scrubber system into the exhaust manifold? If I had one of these cars I would not want to give it up for nothing but what good is it now if they won't let anyone drive it? I would like to get in touch with the Rat's who let this cat out of the bag and kick their asses for ruining for the rest of us.....

Will VW bite the bullet and retrofit a chemical scrubber system into the exhaust manifold? If I had one of these cars I would not want to give it up for nothing but what good is it now if they won't let anyone drive it? I would hate the think of all the radio waves swirling around us. How many radio stations are on the AM/FM Dials, HDTV, Police, Aircraft/Marine, weather, shortwave, and cell towers. All sorts of terrestrial traffic. That does not even include natural radio waves from space and the earth itself. These tin foiled hat freaks need to be told to pack up their brat and home school the little demon spawn. How are they going to know that it's the schools WIFI causing their son's illness vs all this other traffic going on? People have been complaining that we are all dieing off because of all the alleged radioactivity but I don't see the mortality charts pointing down as a matter of fact they are all going up. Best thing yet they can do is to move to some isolated Pacific Atoll and leave the rest of us alone.
I got pulled over for doing the speed limit and the cop was trying to claim I was one mile over. I was like you are right behind me. I was actually going under the limit. Then he was like where you coming from. I said work and the name of the insurance company I worked at. And he was like you mind if I search your truck? I told him to go fuck himself and that yes I minded. He said he could keep me there until he got a dog. I said am I being detained, and he said no and I put the truck in first gear and left him on the side of the road. One time I was driving up the main drag in the town I was living in and the cop pulled right out and started to follow me. After about 2 miles I pulled over into a parking lot and he pulled behind me and put his flashers on. He came up to my car at the time and I said to him, "What the Fuck Do You Want?" He was don't talk to me that way, I was like I don't like pigs following me around for no reason and then when I pull into a public parking lot you turn your fucking lights on? And he was trying to say I looked suspicious. I said let me cal my cousin the police chief and ask him if he thinks I'm suspicious looking..... He took off with his tail tucked. Point is, I hate being around cops, even my own little brother is a cop and I never want to be around him. I will cross the street and walk on the other side of the road just to stay away from them. I don't want them in my business and I don't want to be in theirs.
As soon as a bird stike happens with one of these drones, ie , one gets sucked into a jet engine of one of the planes that drop water on the fires there will be huge backlash. Comes down to common sense. Us them for voyeurism and stay out of the fires....
