Considering the amount of processing and chemicals they run through the bean to get the caffeine out, it is hardly a healthier substitute.

Having a food in moderation is not going to have a detrimental effect. Having a cup of coffee in the morning isnt going to give you a heart attack. Having 20 cups is not going to benefit you when your heart is pumping at twice the rate.

The key to personal health is moderation. In all forms. That includes exercise as well as eating.

I agree that the builder was at fault, but i am a structural engineer, and as an engineer, i would have gone to inspect the work being undertaken to ensure that everything was being done correctly. Or at least contact the appropriate project manager regarding the job. It appears to me that no one was really responsible in that situation. They left the builders to their own devices, and that should not have happened.

Everyone is at fault in that scenario. From the architect to the bricklayer and everyone in between.

But because its been designed by them, we have to find a way to build around it. the problem is architects don't work with engineers, however they call on them to "make things work".

Sounds similar to microshaft in many ways actually.

When you come across a problem that may seem impossible to get a work around for, these guys think and think, and they get their solution because they are able to see a myriad of different perspecvtives as a possible solution to a really tough problem. these guys are paid the big bucks because they do have that extra quality as well as being good hackers. i think thats what separates the good, from the great.

With all this genetically modified food being pushed forward for the betterment of mankind, has anyone ever questioned what would happen to the immune system if we are so hellbent on preventing disease from food sources. Everyone is so cleanliness obsessed that they disinfect everything, but as a child, your immune system has to be built up to defend itself against diseases, with these GM foods being created to basically prevent disease, does that not weaken our immune system, and wouldnt this make us more susceptible to diseases such as the common cold? Fair enough these chemicals are good at for us, and are needed in prevention of certain diseases, but to actually battle the disease and win, our immune system must be up to the task.

I think why it has become such a phenomenon, because it is effective, fast, and is straight to the point. Usually the simplest solutions are the most effective ones...

Has martin lost his mind. Sure i would liken Microsoft to McDonald, in that they dupe their customers in feeling that food (Windows) is healthy (secure), but do they honestly think they offer more to a server platform than Linux does. No, it ends up costing you more, support, additional software etc. I can get my BSD boxes to do all that a doze box can and it costs me hardly anything bar hardware changes. There are three admins that maintain it as it is up 24/7 and all are experienced professionals, we dont need no team of MS monkeys to tell us, "well we will help you, but your gonna be charged".
