Most of our money on weapons? Have you looked at the U.S. budget lately? Military spending is large (21% in 2008), but nowhere near "most". And when you get right down to it, that is one of the few things the government spends money on that is Constitutional.
Iraq was invaded because Hussein refused to live up to the agreements that ended the first Gulf War, a war HE started by invading a neighboring country. Read some of the U. N. Resolutions from back then and you'll see that "any member nation" had the right to go into Iraq and enforce the agreements. We did.
There's no putting it back. "Peer-reviewed" means nothing when you can't trust the peers. We need FULL investigations by anybody and everybody. We need lawsuits out the ass. Enough bullshit. Let's start over and quit rushing into the unknown.
This is not science. It's ideology, politics, and MONEY.
An unemployed lawyer? That's about as rare as a it gets. If she's such a bad lawyer that she can't open her own office to practice law, then who would want her as a lawyer?
What's next? An unemployed doctor? An unemployed hooker? An unemployed slashdot editor?
If anybody needs to be unemployed, it's politicians and bureaucrats!
Oh, but it is his pet project. He's spending more time and effort on health care than anything else right now, even to the point of ignoring a FREAKING WAR going on. He has no strategy for the "good war" he supported during his campaign.
So, yeah, he'd rather have everybody discussing health care.
Ignoring people based on their ideology exposes your ignorance.
And nowadays the Federal government isn't even writing the laws. Special interests write the bills, and Congress votes yea or nay without reading the bills.
Exactly! Doctors are being confronted by patients who come in asking (or demanding) a drug they saw on television whether they actually need it or not. Most doctors are ethical and won't prescribe based on a patient's wishes, but some will. Doctors are also afraid not to prescribe something because patients could sue them and it takes money to fight a frivolous lawsuit.
Thus, the reason I mentioned above (wrongly modded off-topic, I might add) that lawyers shouldn't advertise on television either. Since they started lawsuits are through the roof. What we need is to yank their ads off television and make "loser pays" the law.
They should be prosecuted, sued, shot, sent to the Russian Front, drawn & quartered, horse-whipped, shunned, starved, hanged, keelhauled, AND then put in prison.
Best Buy has the Corsair 750W for $119.99
Newegg has it for $119.99
Boils down to which is less for you - shipping or tax - and how fast you need it.
If you know somebody who works for Best Buy, let them buy it for you with their employee discount.
I built the laptop that my notebook computer is sitting on. :)
A few more pounds up front and that laptop is going to disappear!
Are you referring to Al Gore?
I always buy my Dihydrogen Monoxide dehydrated. Just add one quart of water to one quart of Dihydrogen Monoxide and stir until mixed.
Ahhhh, refreshing!
"We need an ugly animal that's further up the food chain--more human."
Lawyers!
1. They're almost human.
2. Nobody likes them.
3. There's plenty of 'em!
4. And we may be able to rid ourselves of
a few politicians, too.
After much research and thought, I've come to the conclusion that white mice actually cause cancer.

Your hate is because of your ignorance. Wise up.

Disagree? Sue me.
Yeah, I voted for McCain because of Palin.
What about it?
Whoosh!
Humans, after we all die from cell phone radiation.
Anything that even comes close to criticizing "The One" will always be modded down on slashdot. Some people just can't handle it.
(I'm not one of those whose personal happiness depends on slashdot's karma. It's just another website.)
I agree with you about the previous administration, but the current one is clueless. They don't even try to deny their lies.
God help us all.

we could see a Captain Jean-Luc Picard within a few years?

:) And Geico & Progressive insurance companies . . .
Agreed. And the same goes for lawyers and law firms.
Nah, it was never meant to be informative. How would I know his size? :)
It was meant to be humorous, but apparently not.
And isn't it about time you took the hint? :)

Yeah, that should about cover it.
Yeah, it can get really scary when you're driving 70 mph in traffic.
