While Gamestop and EB both list the tentative release data of April 1st, Amazon lists April 18th as the day the Master Chef returns. Maybe Amazon knows something? Nah... that'll be the day...
Sony, on the other hand, is sticking to its gaming guns with the PSP. "We feel very strongly that what the consumer wants is a dedicated gaming device,"
MPEG4 video (w/ a format large enough to hold a movie), ATRAC3 (as used in MD players), MP3, 7.1 sound, USB 2.0, memory stick slot, and a 16:9 widescreen. Does anyone seriously believe the line that they want a dedicated gaming machine?
Incidentally, one of the titles praised in the story--Super Monkey Ball--follows that formula exactly. In fact, once you get past the menu screens and into the actual game, the analog stick is the only thing that you need. Despite the simple controls, the game is maddeningly difficult, especially on the expert levels (or master levels, if you ever manage to get there--I haven't).
Knowing the way Sony marketing operates, they probably forgot to mention that "6 hours" is when the thing is used to play music, while the screen is off. Game play run time would probably fall near the lower end.
--The PSP will have graphics on the level of the PS2 (SCE President Ken Kutaragi) I'm still waiting for your Toy Story level CG on the PS2 without using the Toy Story DVD.
--The revolutionary Xbox Live is a huge success (MS PR spin) I wonder why you haven't signed on any new subscribers since early 2003. If it's so revolutionary, how come less than 5% of Xbox owners actually use it? (500,000 subs, 10 million Xboxes)
--The GBA SP was created to cater to a different market and was not a GBA "fix" (NCL PR spin) Really? What ever happened to those GBA ads anyway?
IANAL but traditionally, the person that pressed the shutter release is the one that is granted the copyright to the photo. While Ritz may own the "copy" of the photo on the camera, they will not have any right to make and distribute copies unless the copyright holder grants them that right somehow.
More amazingly, the resolution of the image being captured is practically infinite -- The only limiting factor in image resolution is how small the individual silver nitrate crystrals are.
In other words it isn't.
HAL is a part of Nintendo. As for Rare, they never had any ownership over Star Fox or DK. Those were created by Nintendo and Rare made a few of those games because Nintendo asked them to.
I'm surprised that no one is complaining. When Nintendo released the GBA:SP as an update to fix some things with the GBA, hordes of people moaned about Nintendo abusing their virtual monopoly. Yet when Sony does the same thing, all is quiet on the eastern front.
Like any other thing you own, if you lose it, you better have insurance. As for damage, that's not likely unless you decide to toss it into an open fireplace. These cartridges are tough and can go through washer cycles and still work perfectly.
Almost everyone that has compared both says the lighting in the SP is superior to the Afterburner kit. And seeing how the AB is a third party mod, your message seems more like a troll than informative reading.
It includes a rechargeable battery and AC adapter does it not? I guess you don't appreciate that either? At least I don't have to worry about the jack breaking like the output on my SB Live.

It was available for the SNES, Genesis and GB. A couple of screens available here. It even had sequels.
Boy, Nokia higher-ups must be glad that the editors decided to post that story here then!

It isn't? Well, at the very least it proved that you could have a pseudo-stick in a portable without having it fall off.
The Neo Geo Pocket had one with no problems.

It just means that they're charging full-price for shovelware.

I'll never forget my first Slashdot post! That's for sure!

- the G3 and SP are both available in black - games on the SP can perform sub-pixel anti-aliasing, it is up to the developer to implement it or not
Even better, Puzzle Fighter II is being released for the GBA very soon. It is more or less a port of the Playstation version.

I can wrap my hands around the SP, as opposed to the original model, which I had to hold by my fingertips.
Are you trying to tell me that the color of Velvia is real and authentic?
...I'm glad this one's in Florida and not Canada because I'm really looking forward to meeting some of the bikini-clad lady Perl developers.
Is this why the Segway is so darned expensive?
I just used one to do a Mandrake network install the other day.
