I'm no lawyer, but there are two ways to look at it.
Legal:
They are not reporting profits from one quarter, then reporting them the next. No problem there, since they are hurting themselves but not looking as profitable in the short run as they are.
Illegal:
They are manipulating the market with false reports to make themselves look more profitable in the long run.
They suck. I worked at Toys R Us and got to look at them a whole lot. If you thought some of Lego's pieces were specialized, just wait till you see the shit they pull. For instance, they have blocks that are barrels, why not assemble the barrels. A lot of their pieces are all really specialized.
Yeah, there are a lot of knock offs out there, they all have extremely specialized pieces. They also make stuff that the Lego people won't make, Tanks, Battleships, etc.
There is Mega Bloks, Rokenbloks, other crap.
As a Toys R Us employee, Bionicle shit sold well. I completely agree that it is total shit, but it is selling. Bionicles have very few pieces, and they are so specialized you can only use them on those sets. Yuck.
Someone mentioned this somewhere else I read, but it is very true. What happens when people decide to get this device and sit at intersections. Or park at the parking lot near the intersection, turn it on, and laugh.
Yeah, but the cocaine was added to give people energy, much more energy than caffeine gives.
In regards to other elixars and such, opium was added to try to relieve pain to trick the people into thinking it cured them. It wasn't to make them addicted.
It isn't that their is more shit coming out, it is that since it is more mainstream, the shit is also going mainstream.
The arguement about all games/punk bands coming out now sucking while the old ones were awesome is ridiculous. There was just as much shit back then, it is just that since it all isn't as popular, you didn't notice it all.
This has been posted how many times before. It seems like everytime a post related to P2P is here, someone replies with this exact response.
I wouldn't be suprised if this was some form of astroturfing from the RIAA.
Why doesn't Microsoft or in this case, Valve, release the product with an amazingly large number of security holes. The people will pirate it, but be unable to update it. So they will be using the software, but it will make there system amazingly vulnerable to everything.
Yeah. I agree with you. I sometimes alter the spelling of my name when I'm signing and no one says a damn thing. It is pretty noticable if my name is mispelled, since it is very common. Maybe the software will act like the lazy bank tellers and cashiers and just not care.
Well, provided he cites Slashdot, what is the problem. For some of my papers, I have cited IRC conversations and the like. The teachers/professors usually put question marks by the source.
Why did you mention you work at a porn site? It doesn't seem like much in the way of bragging rights.
there is a reason they are deceptive you know. Otherwise it would make the job of the police that much easier.

I'm sure they can scrounge up $2K, unless someone else got it from them first...
Damnit, where are my mod points when I need them.
Do it by event or something else then to make the heirachy work.
It was mentioned in Bowling For Columbine as well.

Except you do realize, of course, that there isn't. 2/3 of all prisoners are drug offenders.
Oh yes, I'm sure you get laid because you use a MAC. I bet the girls you bring to your rooms decisions are solely based on the computer you use.

clicking I agree means you agree.
Don't forget the ads that they superimposed on the field.

Ha, make a SimHogwarts similar to either the Sims or one of the Tycoon games. You are either a kid in the place or you are managing the school.
