Why did you mention you work at a porn site? It doesn't seem like much in the way of bragging rights.

I'm no lawyer, but there are two ways to look at it. Legal: They are not reporting profits from one quarter, then reporting them the next. No problem there, since they are hurting themselves but not looking as profitable in the short run as they are. Illegal: They are manipulating the market with false reports to make themselves look more profitable in the long run.

They suck. I worked at Toys R Us and got to look at them a whole lot. If you thought some of Lego's pieces were specialized, just wait till you see the shit they pull. For instance, they have blocks that are barrels, why not assemble the barrels. A lot of their pieces are all really specialized.

  9. Re:Has the copyright on Lego expired? on Lego to Stop Producing Mindstorms · · Score: 1

Yeah, there are a lot of knock offs out there, they all have extremely specialized pieces. They also make stuff that the Lego people won't make, Tanks, Battleships, etc. There is Mega Bloks, Rokenbloks, other crap.

As a Toys R Us employee, Bionicle shit sold well. I completely agree that it is total shit, but it is selling. Bionicles have very few pieces, and they are so specialized you can only use them on those sets. Yuck.

It isn't that their is more shit coming out, it is that since it is more mainstream, the shit is also going mainstream. The arguement about all games/punk bands coming out now sucking while the old ones were awesome is ridiculous. There was just as much shit back then, it is just that since it all isn't as popular, you didn't notice it all.

Why doesn't Microsoft or in this case, Valve, release the product with an amazingly large number of security holes. The people will pirate it, but be unable to update it. So they will be using the software, but it will make there system amazingly vulnerable to everything.
