Well for starters in WoW you're put in a place with a whole pile of quests to start. You even have a note in your inventory telling you who to talk to. Secondly, EQ2 will not attract all of the seasoned gamers you think it will. A lot of the high end guilds are heading over to WoW (including thehigh end guild.)
When you create the character you can, and I think you can make two more costumes for the character later on but your options for their appearance are limited beyond that.
Uhm, in Everquest it was nearly impossible to make your character the absolute best it could be due to the sheer effort required to reach most of the endgame. It was almost always possible to advance it further and the gear you could obtain could add effects to your character and change its appearance. Aside from minor color changes and a cape, there is no way to change your character's appearance in CoH. Also, there is no equipment so your character is as advanced as it's going to become once you reach the cap. When they increased the cap before, all they did was allow you to pick some new abilities that if you had really wanted, you could have gotten them before.
Sony appears to want EQ2 to stand out by rushing it through beta into launch to beat WoW to the market. I'm having visions of the SWG launch all over again.
I mean they found that once they'd reached level 50, they couldn't advance their character any more. The game has no equipment and there are no rare enhancements (unless that's been changed since I quit but I don't think it has). So basically, once you hit the cap, your character is now finished.
I'd like to know how they designed the game without ever thinking about end game content. I played this game for all of a month before I realized that once I made it to 50, there was going to be nothing for me to do. After reading the game boards, I found I was not alone and that lots of other people had reached the level cap only to find they'd wasted their time.
If that's all you're doing to prevent spyware from getting on your system, I suggest you download ad-aware and scan your computer. You might be surprised.
He should make all three movies as he normally would and splice in shots at random times showing Jar Jar being horribly tortured. It would probably balance into a watchable film.
Part of that though is the idiots that aren't interested in movies getting fair ratings and are more interested in seeing their movie in the top (or in this case bottom) spot. The IMDB has had tons of problems recently with people voting 1's on the Godfather to try and pull it down so that Return of the King can take over. The same thing happened to Gigli and others. People were giving them 10's just to try and raise them away from the bottom #1 spot.
When I installed it the other day, I couldn't get anything to work at all (except for the first few minutes after booting). Aim would remain connected but no other internet connections would work. I had no problems connecting to my LAN however.
I've tried to switch to Linux a few times but I keep running into problems since there doesn't seem to be any good tutorials (short of purchasing books) that tell you how to use it. Not only that it seems that every time I attempt to install a program, I need to find five other programs and for each of those programs I need five libraries in a seemingly never-ending spiral of installations.
While this was intended to be funny, there is some seriousness here. If I were Moore, and my goal was widest possible distribution, not most money made, putting it up for P2P download is a great idea. However, having gone to the trouble to shoot and edit the movie with high enough quality for movie projection, I'd want the highest possible quality to be downloadable. So, if he were really interested, he'd upload a copy from the original sources.
Moore saying that he supports downloading the movie and him actually releasing a copy himself are two different things. I don't believe he owns the distribution rights.
You are aware that they have to pay to maintain the servers right? They also have to have full-time staff watching over the game for cheating, bugs, etc. Not only that, it is a business that is intended to make money and if they have created a product that people are willing to pay them to use, then all power to them.
He also spelled orifice wrong while in the process of calling someone else ignorant. I used to know a guy who thought the meaning of the word ignorant was 'to ignore'. It was so funny hearing him use it like that I never told him the real meaning.

I thought it was everyone else blaming their computer problems on Microsoft not the other way around.
*crickets*
They should paint 'IRQL not less or equal' on the side of the building.
If you read the article you can see that the asteroid was extremely small and would have broken up in the atmosphere.

Or it could be the real deal and a trojan.
..we held a bug finding party and no one found any. Should you be upset or not?

So if you can't find the WMD the old fashioned way, just expand on what you consider a weapon?
Calculus in four pages? I hope they intend to expand on the areas they already have written as well as adding new material.
A slashdot user that doesn't know how to change default programs?

But Tolkien created the language BEFORE it became popular culture. Klingon emerged after.

And body odor.
