Thanks for letting me know how security is viewed at Chase. I mean if you are using the most insecure browser in the market today that is even seen by Microsoft as being inadequate. And Chase can't seem to find the time and money to upgrade, who knows what other corners they are willing to take to save a buck security-wise. I mean that's pathetic that a FINANCIAL institution is still using that completely insecure browser behind their doors.

That's what we Southerners have been trying to do for over 100 years now. You northerners can go the way of Canada and follow the Socialist agendas that have imploded every other country before it. The Soviet Union, Belarus, East Germany, and now Greece say hello.

Personally, I think the ONLY way that the states can live in "three part harmony" is if we agree on one principal and one principal only. And that is to leave each other the fuck alone unless their is a NATIONAL crisis. That's the reason we aren't simply called "America". We are individual states UNITED to uphold the Constitution and that's about it.

The greater the national government grows, and the less power the states have, the MORE we are going to fight and be pissed at each other. Just as you Lefties are pissed that Southerners are in your business trying to prevent homosexuals from marrying, and pot being a cigarette alternative, and trying to keep you from your God given right to free healthcare, Righties are pissed that you're in our business telling us what type of school books we have, how we handle illegal immigration, and our stance on drug policy.

Why don't we leave each other the hell alone? Let California and New York try out Socialized medicine, the South try it without and lets see how it affects those States. See if they can survive 50 years with that policy and how it affects the financials. If those states succeed, then guess what it would sweep through the other states. If it fails and the states collapse under the financial burden, then guess what....we just saved us from becoming the next Greece.

At that point they will begin assessing what actions they need to take to upgrade the browsers and the applications.

For this reason many companies are still using Windows XP. There is going to be alot of computers/OS bought here in the coming months as companies are forced to upgrade.

The EOL for Windows XP (and thus IE6) is July 13, 2010. The end is nigh.

I don't want to lose my vertical pixels. The day that webpages primarily scroll horizontally is the day that I might be OK with 1080.

I've never understood the whole "HDTV" monitor facination. How many people actually sit in front of their computer and watch a movie?

That's only true if you don't have the monitor set to display at the native resolution. If you do have it set at native resolution, then that 10pt font will still be using 12 pixels. Only those 12 pixels will be twice as small.

The only reason you'd not want to display it in native resolution is if you have it set at an exact multiple bigger. So basically one pixel on your old model becomes 4 on your new one. So if your new monitor can support 3840 * 2160, you'd only want to use resolutions like that one, 1920*1080, or 960*540. Anything in between would look like crap.

The problem is they aren't going to be jumping to 3840 * 2160 anytime soon.
