It's quiet possible that the patents in the study who responded favorably have a form of ADHD and that playing Starcraft 2 gives their minds the mental stimulation they've been lacking. By giving these people Bupropion you're basically replacing the mental stimulation of Starcraft with the dopamine-induced stimulation of medication which basically allows them to be able to better focus on things other than video games. Ultimately it may prove that they are dependent on video games much like many of us are dependent on psychoactive drugs for our own well being.
I would think that scaling wouldn't make the laser bigger but would instead use multiple lasers like they do with ion engines. Of course, IANARS (I am not a rocket scientist) so take what I say with a big grain of NaCl.
TiVO needs to drop non-contract subscription price

The Trouble With TiVo
·
· Score: 1
I got a TiVO a year ago after starting a CSR job with DirecTV and played with a DVR (albeit their version). I'm long gone from that job but I still have my TiVO and love it. My big problem was when my year contract ($19.95/month) ended and I went on a month-by-month subscription. I was now paying $16.95/month plus an additional $1/month in state tax, putting me near $18/month. I felt like I was being screwed over for going month-to-month. Luckily though TiVO was nice and dropped my monthly subscription price to $10.95/month before tax.
If you're going to flame me, it'd be more convincing if you weren't hiding behind the AC tag.
Yes, I looked. None existed (at the time I made my switch). I switched from Safari to Firefox after I got frustrated with accidentally closing a tab and not being able to "undo" it. That's when some friends of mine pointed me to Tab Mix Plus and Firefox. It works and does what I need it to do. Safari does very well on what it was intended to do: be a working no-frills web browser. I'm a power user and need something more. As always, to each their own.
The inability for Safari to have plugins keeps me firmly rooted in the Firefox cause. I enjoy Adblock Plus and Tab Mix Plus. I can't get that kind of functionality on Safari.
That said - Safari isn't here to win the fight right from the start. iTunes required a bit of time and effort on the part of the Apple developers to turn it into the powerhouse media player that it is today (both on Mac and Windows).
Yes I'm a Mac fanboy but hell, I'm typing this on a Windows laptop using Firefox. Apple gets many things right but they aren't immune to failures.
Having worked at one of their call centers I had a hard time (ethically) trying to sell this package. DirecTV is well behind the HD revolution and yet charges an assload for their meager offerings.
I have taken trig, calc 1 and 2, matrix algebra (I chose the senior level although there is a similar course in the sophomore level), discrete mathematics, numerical methods and statistics for engineers/scientists (opted for it instead of probability).
At my college this is enough to get a minor in Mathematics. If I really wanted to I could spend my last 2 semesters going for an Applied Math supplementary major as well as my CS degree but I'm burnt out on math.
All CS majors at New Mexico State University take a class in Software Development. Here's a link to my prof's page on it. We had to work together on a fairly complex program (using GUIs and junk in Java). My team did end up using CVS to manage everything since our program used a parse/lexer along with some fairly hacked up GUI code.
The government does not need to fill the spot of lazy parenting. If parents are so worried about Mature-rated video games then why aren't they preventing their own kids from getting them? And it's not one parents reponsibility to enforce their beliefs on another parent. I was allowed to play violent video games back when I was 10 or so (Marathon and the sort) but I was only allowed to as long as I understood that a) IT'S JUST A GAME and b) DO NOT EMULATE WHAT YOU SEE IN SAID GAME.
When the president comes out in a live radio address and admits to pissing on the 4th amendment* of the Constitution, yes this quote needs to be brought up again and again. I have no problem with wiretaps and whatnot as long as a court gives out the appropriate warrent. AFAIK- The FISA court rarely rejects wiretap requests, Bush could have easily taken the legal route and not trampled on our liberties.
*4th Amendment - The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Ok, it looks a bit different, I'll give Apple that....But I would like an application that manages both my music and my movies (divx, xvix, etc...). Apple came a step closer with iTunes 6, but it looks like only for movies I download from iTMS. That is lame.
Similarly, there's no obvious reason why tunes stored on the music module couldn't be used as ringtones for the phone module. But that would undermine the mobile operators' lucrative trade in ringtones.
Seems to me like restrictions from Cingular brought about the limits in songs (100) and the inability to use said songs as ringtones. I haven't seen anything to debunk this, so reply if you can use uploaded songs as ringtones.
The music-player module works like an iPod - though it lacks the clickwheel that makes its big brothers function so slickly. But overall, the impression is distinctly underwhelming. The word on the streets is that far from being the revolutionary device that will bring about media 'convergence', the Rokr is, well, just the sum of its parts.
While I do agree with design, I wonder who was the head of designing this phone? Did they get in contact with Johnathan Ives? The nano shows that a clickwheel can be put on, but how are you going to do it while making the phone sport the usual keypad and look great? This sounds like a great problem for Apple to tackle, and I hope they get some control.
In the end, Apple wins anyway. You load 1 or 100 songs onto the phone. You'll probably still go buy songs off of iTMS anyway. Motorola is probably the loser who will feel the pinch if phone sales are bad.
You know, I didn't mention that he sent relief to everyone. I'm on democraticunderground under the same name as here (over 200 posts there too). Bush pisses me off so much. If you're going to bash me, then do it without hiding under the "Anonymous Coward" id. Or hell, pm me on democraticunderground and I'd be more than happy to talk to you.
Bush had SOME aid sent along with him just to make himself look like a fucking hero. Bush is nothing more than a Photo-op whore.
I love how the context of what I say can be taken so badly. I completely diss the Bush loyalists yet you think I'm one of them? Don't be so rash to reply until you've read ALL of someone's comments.
Its not enough that you couldn't send relief until 3 to 4 days AFTER the hurricane hit, but you have to send shit to control the crowds when just giving them more relief would control them anyway. Bush is a sick fuck. Help the people, not deafen them.
Flame away Bush loyalists. A lot of the country is pissed off as well, and not just us liberals but even your own kind and everyone in-between. Don't tell me not to point fingers. The GOP and Bush are attempting to do damage control for a situation they could have and should have been able to handle very quickly.
as soon as that letter went out. Animesuki stopped even stopped showing torrents. I hope Media Factory understands that by cutting off the fansubbers, they'll have an unknown success if they attempt to licence their current series to the US. The fansubbers are one of the best ways to gague how a new series will do here and in the rest of the world.

but pours.
Calling them "whippersnappers" just doesn't do it anymore.
It doesn't matter whether or not your intentions for space flight are for science or not. All you need is enough cash and noone will care.

1. Close Safari
2. Open a terminal window and type:
defaults write com.apple.Safari AutoOpenSafeDownloads No
3. Open Safari back and enjoy.

That was soooo fun to do back then :)
