hrm, we're coming ever closer to many more star trek gadgets...nice...to be able to "print" a device of my choosing is nice...however...it could be nice to make the parts printed interchangable...print off pieces, put them together, a functioning device...and if something on it fails, replace that certain piece. Note that as with all technology, everything starts out expensive...maybe the machine itself will become dirt cheap like regular printers (except the companies will charge an arm and a leg for the "ink" still)
I have Dish Network...their audio programming sucks balls. On top of that, its worthless for me to have a TV and satellite reciever in the car if i'm the only one driving it.
But hes teaching for the Arts and Engineering program at the University of Texas at Dallas (where I'm hoping to go, major in computer science however)... Why yes this IS John Romero's name on the faculty list:P
An attacker could create a malicious MP3 or WMA file, that if placed in an accessed folder on a Windows XP system, would compromise the system and allow for remote code execution. The MP3 does not need to be played, it simply needs to be stored in a folder that is browsed to, such as an MP3 download folder, the desktop, or a NetBIOS share.
When Sysadmins Attack!! Watch as they reprogram their employers servers to backfire...muhahahaha...Now watch as they make millions off the stock they sold by destroying their company!! It's so gruesome, it could only be on Fox News!::Check your local listing for times::
I was hoping we'd have a "Minority Report" like HID in the near future....crap...back to the old keyboard:(
What a waste(no pun intended)...

To test their theory, the Vortex folks have thrown in rocks, diapers, tomatoes, sweet potato rejects from the farm down the road, 400 pounds of Oreo cookies, frozen pizza dough, even a dead bird.
I live in a small town (25k people)...We have DSL, and wireless internet options, but the prices are outrageous, $100 to install a wireless antenna and $50/month. For the DSL, you have to pay $20/month to a local ISP for an ip address, and another $30/month to the DSL provider (the DSL modem is an additional $150!)...there needs to be competition for broadband as well as access to it.
The University of Texas at Dallas has a new Art & Engineering program that just started up...They brought in two game designers John Romero and Tom Hall to teach a few classes on game programming. Theres a story on it in the college's own publication the UTD Mercury
Take internet explorer out of windows...and windows ain't windows anymore(wasn't this proved, by accident, during one of the court sessions?)....rofl...everytime my browser crashes on my pc (i'm typing on a mac), my desktop crashes as well....This is gonna be interesting to see how M$ will take the windows out of Windows...
Tintin was an awesome cartoon! I watched it like everyday on Nickelodeon.....but Speilburg...shit...the result is gonna do one of two things: suck really bad, or kick major ass....seeing how he f*cked up AI (which I was hoping would be a good movie...much to my dissapointment..I want to study AI in college)..I think hes gonna screw this one up as well
No wonder why there isn't anything good out there at the movies....noone is coming up with anything original..they have to steal from someone else and warp the crap out of it. Hey Spielburg, we need originality...give us something new, not reprocessed films.. this message goes out to the rest of the industries...we need INNOVATION...not CRAP
We were REALLY stupid back in the early atomic days...its not a surprise that there are still radioactive tress...hell...LANL still has SH*TLOADS of transuranic waste waiting for shipment to permanent storage facilities (WIPP?).
Macs were meant to be used over longer periods of time than PC's were. I'm typing this post on a 2 year old iBook 466mhz...the only thing I need to upgrade on this machine is maybe the hard drive and ram
M$ already screws over owners of modded Xboxes by banning them from the Live service...why are they going after Lik-Sang still?
I really think its stupid tho how us PS2 owners in the US can't play the uber-cool games that come from Japan. Sony would make soooo much more money if they allowed their PS2's to play US and imported games.

Anyone see the redundancy too?

When Inu Yasha was added, Candidate for Goddess was taken out....will 3 current running series be replaced by the new series?
If he did, maybe we could hack into his press email box again >:)

I will not be denied the pleasure of watching Harry Potter trailers on my non-AOL dialup connection!

I was wondering why /. seemed a bit sluggish...
Now they will go out and buy P4 3 ghz servers...when their building burns down again, they can turn around and sue Intel!!
