    hey, I hated Microsoft and DOS all the way back when it didn't support any of the fun things you could do in a posix style shell, like pipes and redirects and scrolling through your history, or (gasp!) color!

    I also hated them when their telnet app repeatedly failed to meet the standards of every other telnet app out there

    this is no fad. this is a deep seated hatred.

    as I understand it, Doom3 was rendered in GL and then had a handful of DX shaders applied to it if you were running it on windows "for speed"

    which never made much sense since it ran plenty faster on my linux rig..

    No, I work at a company that understands that to write internet based applications you generally need access to the internet. And I am grateful.

    my guess is that you are not using this to allow local civilians in a disaster area to make calls, but rather for allowing the relief workers to use -their- cell phones to communicate with each other and coordinators
