How does this change the problem with playing XBox Live with a modded XBox?
You can use Gamespy Arcade and a tunnel program to play quite a few online games for free, even with a modchip. I wouldn't pay for a service like that to play games when I can play them for free...
I mean, that is wonderful that it is open-source and all, but why would they do something like this? Do they really want everybody making their own streaming format off of their source code or do they expect people from the OSS community to basically write their code for them?
I found a bunch of Spice Girl stuff (3GB+) on my friends 'broken' hard drive he gave me... I was sorta afraid when I saw that, really makes me wonder about him...
I was reading that they are looking for people to help produce an adapter that would more than likely go through the ethernet port they said. They have the design basically done, just need someone to make it real.
I would prefer it to use a controller port... What if I want my home entertainment media hub to access a network to play movies and music?
I am actually looking for a way to get wireless access to my personal network a safe (secure) and legal way. I just want internet and access to my network in my car or wherever I may be in the general area of my house.
Anybody know of some good cost effective methods that do this?
This kind of stuff and I often hear of colleges that don't allow students to use certain ports at all. Isn't there a way to stop colleges from doing this? What if you had another reason to use those ports, a reason they don't know about.
Somehow this has to be against your rights somehow...
I wonder if S3 is on the way back again in the market. I am starting to design a media station like system using a projector for my future house. Are there any decent frameworks out there for designing a network capable media center?
More power to them for bringing some more competition into the market (again)...
Just wait for a mod-chip for one of these things that allows you to replace the hard drive with a bigger one. You can also do this with the xbox. :-)
I mean, I thought we had it bad around here for getting potholes fixed before, now the South Pole highway will probably take priority over us too!
I have left out the cost of actually printing and copying the albums as I think that the average cost is probably less than $0.25 per copy.
You say that 906.6 million cds are sold per year and you don't include the $0.25 cost of copying and printing?
906,600,000
x 0.25
------
$226,650,000
Maybe you should have added that in...
I call karma whoring BS! Just look the troll's history.
I knew there wasn't a such thing as "Booth babes"...
must say the booth babes are really hot this yr
What are these "booth babes" you speak of? There are none of them in my basement... =P
I don't think the "*huts" are doing to well... I mean, Fingerhut, Monsterhut, etc... But i wonder about Pizza hut? =P

Whats the difference between your mom and a microwave? Nothing, you can slide your meat into both of them!
Sorry... =P

A Minnesota company is...
Ya sure ya betcha! =P
But can it topple Duke Nukem Forever as the #1 vaporware item for this year?!?!?!
Its seems that most online companies are F'd.... I could have written this book in 1 paragraph =P
... is "No Propietary Software" signs everywhere sort of like the no smoking signs with the circle around it and the line going through =P
Just wait for this story the 2nd time around, I am sure it will be up as soon as taco hears about it in a few days...

I wonder if they are coming out with a laptop model also... =P

I thought AOL was my computer and OS... =P

I am guessing Graffiti sucks more than if they would have tried to interpret our normal style of writing, I am glad that is gone!
Not only does /. repeat the stories, they start changing them around!

Someone make a website that tracks all local access points... I know there are region specific sites out there, but it would be free.
