I have heard that sendmail is the most complicated program ever developed, is this true in any way? Sendmail can do a lot and there are a frequent amount of security issues, most of which get fixed very timely, but it has to be better than exchange, isn't it?
Linux is great and all but I feel half the reason it isn't doing as well as it could is because there are just so many distros in general. I know the nature of Linux is about choice and open software but this hurts Linux in itself. Why don't hardware companies put out Linux drivers as much as they do Mac drivers? Because they expect certain things within the Mac OS, not everything is different from system to system, which makes it easier and more attractive to companies to write Linux code and drivers...
The second I read this I knew this was a Canadian event... Why? Cause nobody in the U.S. would call it this, we don't need to associate ourselves with someone else constantly.
Canada, worlds number one at being just north of the United States. =P
Well this is obviously good for ogg, but even if this does gain some momentum a big name portable mp3 player manufacturer will simply put it in their player and way underprice these guys.
I am not saying it isn't a good idea at all, but don't you think they could get shut out of business really quick?
Thats too bad that all these companies are bombing out lately... Hopefully we have a rise in economy soon.
Anyone know when programming jobs are going to become easier to get and higher paying? Any good guesses? I have a nice job now, just looking for more money.
Linux already has enough ground an influence to make Microsoft want a piece of that pie... They will try to do something 'innovative' with it, hoping to control that too. And as I read in a story a few months ago, they may just build the next Windows on Linux, but I doubt we will see something quite like that.
But what if M$ tries to get in the Linux market? Would you guys use it? I mean, is it about Linux to you guys or strictly OSS?
So... He just released the 0.3 preview now and it is due to be released in March...? Sounds like maybe he should have dedicated a bit more time for this, for making a decent product with loads of testing.
I have actually been working on a hardware/software solution for this. Instead of buying a Quicknet Internet Line Jack for $600, I am working on a few mods to this kit so it can be controlled via the parallel port instead of by the telephone hook.
On the software side, I am using some RTP software I am working on to transfer audio between machines. So what does this all mean? With some custom hardware and software I will be able to have household (neighborhood) telephone service using any computer on my network.
If anyone is interested stop by www.magicicecreambucket.com in a few weeks for information on building this device for yourself for under $60 and some software for it.

I think I would be afraid to read this book... For how much my girlfriend has yelled at me for being "Half Mast" myself... =P
The damn troup leader actually comes to my door! We didn't do these type of things when I was in boy scouts! =P

I've never even heard of them...
Haven't you ever heard the phrase, 'Quitters never win'? Well, they are just one of them. =P

I saw about 2 million of them stacked up in the aisles at Fry's Electronics yesterday, but that sure is a lot of drives.
Fry's this, Fry's that... Maybe someday I will have the privilege to go to Fry's... =P
Links to everything you would want to read, in just one post!
But I am just wondering, has anyone said they are going to use this specification or are they releasing it hoping someone will use?
No.
Love, Bill
How long do we have to wait until we have DNS servers flying above the country?
I know there is a Windows refund site somewhere, as long as you never click okay to a EULA you can get some money back...

... a military radar detector.
With detectors comes jammers... ahhh, nevermind, maybe I shouldn't F with the military radar... Just the police radar.
Ya gotta love fuzzbusters though!
... and skynet was born!
Something like this would be perfect for my idea. Too bad this doesn't have an OS that would be easier to port this to.
