Personally I would be more worried about the possibility of deep vein thrombosis. It occured how many times in the past few hours on roughly 10 hour flights? If I owned a participating cinema, I'd be showing warnings before the movie recommending you stand up every few hours and stretch.

You might want to rethink that... Fosters is an Australian beer. I do believe it was bought out by Canada at some stage though.

You know the really sad thing?

I've never met an Australian who talks like that. And I'm an Australian born and bred, last time I checked. This leads me to 2 possible conclusions.

    1. The only people who talk with that retarted "Aussie" accent and disturbing slang are:
    a. Steve Irwin (it's also a fact he puts it on for his show...)
    b. American wankers who've never met an Australian, let alone spoken to one, yet are sure this is how they must sound!

    2. There are no Australians in Australia. It's all a hoax. Australia does not exist, it is actually a marketing ploy designed to make certain "exports" seem exotic.

PS. There's a reason Australia exports Fosters. It's because it tastes like utter shite, and no one here drinks it.

Wow I had no idea re those sales figures. Although it does make sense in a wierd parents buying their college kiddies a laptop kind of way. Not to mention the lack of games etc... (Don't flame me for this, I realise there are some great games for apple...but compared to a pc or console..?)

Good point on the laptops @ LANs. I'm in Australia atm and I guess most of the better options haven't filtered through yet. For example, the Compaq Evo 510 desktop machine @ $999 is closer to $1600 australian. Throw on tax etc...and it would be closer to $2000(AU). O well, I guess I deserve it for living in a backwater country with sweet F all broadband and technology.

  10. Erm...why? on Toshiba Introduces A 17"-Screen Laptop · · Score: 5, Interesting

I don't understand technology movements these days. Laptops have saturated the market. Most people want a faster/quiter/cheaper home pc, yet no companies seem to be interested in this option. Then again, the majority of home pc's are still slow pentium 1/2 or celerons, as that's all most mums and dads need. Why aren't companies like Dell, Toshiba, HP etc... improving these? I understand a lot of it is out of their hands (hardware size etc...) but still... PS...First post :P

Erm...actually juarez is an adaptation used by the "elite" to make fun of ignorant new commers to the warez scene. For example, say I'm "elite" and sitting in a main distribution irc channel and some newbie comes in saying "HEY GUYS! GOT ANY WAREZ!?!?!?!" I may respond with "NAH WE AINT GOT ANY JUAREZ!!!!!!" Or at least something to that effect.
