That's it. The PERFECT GIFT to my girlfriend. In fact, I'll just return this expensive diamond ring and put the install dvd right on her finer before I drop the question!. Oh, slashdot you come up with the best gift ideas! Without great advice like this, Im sure I'd just be a miserable loner with out any women.
Yeah, I can't believe the author never beat it. It was annoying but not impossible. There were days I could beat it the first time every time, and days I couldn't after playing for hours. Now, why does that remind me of programming in perl?
Now thats the spirit! But next time you tell the story, you build the chips in the toilet instead. The bathtub is reserved for gin making. You should know better than that, what with your extensive hobo friendships.
You can do better than that. Java.. Ajax C++? if your flexing a nerd muscle go for obscurity. I'm programming in InterCalc with a brainfudge bridge and eifell extensions. Maybe point out the fact that you're doing it on a altair or Vax of some sort.
No, just a slightly-too-hard-to-be-friendly slap on the back, followed by strange looks and numerous instances of strangers going out of their way to avoid you.
You have to be kidding or blind. Use what works the best, but always reevaluate when the variables change. If we didn't we'd still be using netscape 4. Ie 7 is a huge upgrade and much much better than the previous edition FF2 is more like IE 5 in terms of improvement over the previous edition. IE looks better and has some features that Firefox really could use( the button that shows all tabs in single window and the ease of choosing a bookmarked site). Its pretty sweet. But for my money, Opera wins. it seems to devise and perfect innovations years before anyone else. I guess firefox is a close second or least it was until the release. I haven't made up my mind which I prefer ie or firefox. I do know that firefox seems a bit flaky. the default skin is ugly my favorite skins haven't been updated yet. Another one I found that said it worked, didn't. to be fair IE 7 seems to suck, when you first start using it. On two computers I've set up with it, its locked up on first run (then its fine afterwards, what do you want its microsoft! But then it grows on you like fine cheese. I find it matches well with a fine merlot from the northern part of california and wagnu beef.
Sure, Never thought of it that way. But yes, I do possess skills sought after throughout the galaxy. That and a knack for easily ignored, annoying wordplay.
Wow, you found a collision in md5! Great work! There will be a *big* raise for you. Yes siree, jonasj will be going places now. Just picture it your name all lit up in neon lights with a mess of people fightin to get a look at the man that cracked md5!
That was a lot more painful to do, thanks to the bloody spell check. I found my own source, 'fore the/. found theirs. If I would have read this first I wouldn't have done it. Guess I'll checked tomorrow to see if anything changed.
True, but also false. The xenix source code was still supported by the second SCO which was formerly caldera. I could be wrong there. When I first heard this story ten years ago I looked it up and sco was still selling xenix, but under a different name.
I wasn't expecting an answer. The question was rhetorical. It was years ago. back when the web wasn't versioned and time flowed like honey. Sweat, sweat honey. Oh, how I held those days like a bowl of fresh milk and wild strawberries.
Do you actually know people who buy songs on itunes? I use Music match myself but of all the people I know noone actually buys their music on line. They just rip stuff to their computer and then put it on the player. I'm taling about the whole spectrum of users form ten year olds to hipster techies to grandmas. Then again you're probley from some hipster state where everything is wrong. did I say hipster too many times? Get off my lawn ITMS!
We wrote a driver to read and write fat 16 flash drives for an embeded system. The testing for it wrote and read full speed 24/7 for two weeks before they died. I assumed that was because of the limited read write settings. Or is it possible the low quality connection was to blame? Doesn't really matter they were only used to transfer settings. As any one whos had to support them knows, they often just die for no apparent reason. I'm not convinced that this is a system I'd want my data on.
I just asked because this whole notion of frameworks outside of java is somewht confusing. I'll need to resarch it myself. Also mystifying this concept of the "enterprise". I do mission critical software that handles high volume transactitions, but i've never found a need for anything else. I think it might just be because there isn't any legacy stuff to deal with, or complex interfaces between services. I'll investigate the whole issue again, but I have the feeling that I'd end up killing our elephant with a blowtorch (might work, but there'd be some screaming, a funky smell in the air, and a rotting carcass left in the sun for the other elephants to wistfuly pick up and rue the day EJB was created and secretly plot their revenge).
Anasi Boys is th eonly one I've read. I had a *very* hard time finishing it. his writing leaves so much to be desired. Good basic outline of a story filled with hackneed expresions akward transitions and a prose as smooth as the Andes mountains. The guy can't write. I've read better prose on a milk carton. I really think he shoud, go the way of James patterson and just outline the stories and let someone more qualified write them. I would agree with earlier posters that he's best suited to writting books that have lots of pictures in them and as few words as possible.
I could be wrong, but as I recall Bush chose to not activatet he Emergency Broadcast System as everyone was already talking about the attacks one everyform of media possible. No one had to be threatened with legal action to braodcast news about 9/11. I'm sure even the illegal pirates were talking about that.
This is idiotic! It's like going to the store to buy a "computer." But instead they try to sell you just the parts of a computer like a motherboard and an cpu and a video card. Who the hell wants that?!
Oh wait, I want that. And I'll bet a lot of you want that too.
Okay, but 99% of people who want to buy a computer don't want to do that. If that was the only way to buy a Windows PC and Apple still sold prebuilt computers, it wouldn't be long before Apple had a 99% market share.
Hmm... I don't know where to begin. If GT becomes "Not a game", I suspect people will "Not Buy" the "Not game" and Sony will "Not make Money".
As so many people have pointed out, this will be a major commercial flop if its released. They will not recoup the cost it took to make the Game, with out a wide user base. The real racers will not be enough to make this or the PS3 work.
Thats what will happen. The really good cheap guns become expensive, the more expensive ones no one used to buy will become cheaper and then the cycle will repeat itself. It won't happen to all of the items, but I bet it will with some of them. Cheap one week, really expensive the next, then cheap again. I haven't played in a while, but when I did I was the only one to buy the underused weapons. Sounds cool, but I don't think It will entice me to start playing again.
Maybe you have different Dollar General stores where ever you are, but here in IL they cannot compete with Walmart, only other stores with "Dollar" in their name. Walmart is higher quality ( surprising to say that), more selection, more convieniet( open 24-7), and alo gives their employees benifits. I don't see how they could compete, much less slash the throat of a giant like walmart.
Obviously, I believe that Science and math can be made interesting asd I'm posting on slashdot. You are correct that it doesn't require reporting flasehoods. From reading the new yorker and the rebuttle, its my opinion that the reporter went too far and did not present balenced story. Just curious. What is the line beyond the ethical one?
Ok It depends on the service now. The way I used to share my files between two computers, I copied the files over Media player thows a stink about the files not being licenced on the new computer, I have to visit a webstie authorising the files for the computer. Apparently, I could have just copied the files and their licences over to the new computer and everything would have worked. But I wouldn't be able to do that anymore. In any case I now just burn and re prip the file sto non DRM'ed Mp3's so I can play then in Linux and on me car sterio ( it plays WMA's but not protected ones ). ,br>
I still don't think many people actually copy over the licences right now, So if they did it like i did, they shouldn't notice any rpoblem whatsoever.
If the people who provided the original quotes used against Yau, now say they were misquoted and don't agree with the premise, then I think its a valid case. I think as in most things the truth lies in the middle. The title of the paper " The first complete solution to Poicare" says more than any of the quotes or anything else. Its very clear from that title that the authors are saying that Perlman didn't solve it completely. The Jounalist who wrote the New Yorker had a somewhat borring story about academia and the quest for recognition and tried spicing it up a little bit. She may have crossed the ethincal line while doing so. A lot of Research papersmake grandiose claims that aren't as true as they initially seem. They relaise they need to market their papers to get the next job or grant or whatever and they need their papers to sound important to the vast majority of people who don't understand what the paper is really about.

But microsoft doesn't have goodness, its not compatible with WGA, and No ones written a driver that can pas WHL certification for a Heart.

So what are you now? what did you leave it for? anything intersting you'd care to share?
Remember caring is sharing
