Right nOw I think its 5 for Music Match. The Microsoft source clearly statest that this will still work perfectly. Its talking about not being able to back up the licences. Which for most "idiots", who everyone here seems to be so concerned about, shouldn't affect them at all. THEY WILL NOT NOTICE ANYTHING CHANGED. Every thing will be exactly as it was before, except now the people who don't like DRM are even more upset because the people who use it lost an option they will NEVER notice.
I think you have a typo there. If the Copy Protect Music Option is on, doesn't that imply that it can be turned off? Therefore, it can be disabled. Or possibly are you saying that microsoft can't disable the option?
Very simular to my expereince even though it was 2004. I managed to persist in getting a working system, kde and everything. BUt it got to be too much portage was almost always broken for what I wanted. I had to google for missing packages to get stuff to install. Im using SUSE right now, but its giving me crap as well. I haven't had time to mess with it, I think I can fix it. If not then I'll give Debian another try. Suse was the only one I could get other than Gentoo to work on this box. Its not there fault really, there's some serious hardware problem with my DVD drive. I'll get a new one before trying another install.

Exit polls are not reliable enough. If an exit poll tells you 80% of a precint voted for Mr A, and the votes say only 40 % did, you might have a case of fraud. but if 53% said they voted Mr A and only 46% did there is less certanty. It would be interesting to investigate the discrepencies. Once cast, the votes are properly looked after. If it turns out they weren't, then you have proof of wrong doing. Or perhaps just an even more screwed up system. But its better than looking at exit poll discrepencies by themselves.

The other party, in apparent retaliation went to a retirement home and picke up a buch of people, most of which had already registered and voted at the same polling place. it was a mad house, in the southern Wisconson, Northern Illinois area. I wouldn't be suprised if it was repeated elsewhere, but I really couldn't blame any party more than the other. You'd thin that on a local level politics would be more civil, but you'd be wrong. Its an option, let people choose to use it or not use it. Microsoft added a feature that previously didn't exist amoung mp3 players and wanted to make sure that no one used it to violate the artists rights. It just means that you will have to distrubute CC licences files some other way, possibly the same way you are doing right now!

Working with other people and learning to take real or implied insults with out childishly returning them IS a part of any non trivial job. Its not that fantasy and rpgs are wrong or stupid, its just it attracts a certain crowd that seeks an alternative identity to the normal one because they can't imagine themselves in the normal one. That being said there are many normal people probley as your self that this doesn't apply to. It is a sterotype that is not always true. WOW is more accepted because when people don't knwo what it is, you can tell them its a video game. Just about everyone has played one at some point and it seems less wierd. I've met many many adults that were not "d&d gamers" that play WOW. WOW is huge. "real gamers" who brag about being "real gamers" really don't affect people who don't want to be "real gamers".
Ok, now for the revelation. Yes I was a D&D player back in the day. And Shadowrun. But I also had normal friends and did normal things with them. And yes they made fun of me for playing D&D. And yes I made fun of myself for playing. No I don't play WOW cause I'm against subscription based games and I want to keep mor etime for doing other things. I don't think I could compete or really enter in the virtual world, I think I'ma ddicted to the real one..... where I post on Slashdot.....
