    Definitely. Every nation that takes sports seriously spends a ridiculous amount of money on improving the performance of their athletes, a fair bit of that is on sports-science. In Australia, the funds come from the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport,) they receive around AU$200M/y of government funding.

A similar increase in risk was observed for animal protein, but no association was found for consumption of vegetable protein. Women who consumed five or more servings of red meat per week also had a significantly increased risk of forearm fracture (RR = 1.23, 95% Cl 1.01-1.50) compared with women who ate red meat less than once per week."

    They are already in Russia and as far as I tell have not returned to the US (can't find any articles that say that they have returned, only articles that say Reiser's son hasn't/doesn't have to appear in court.)

    A few days late, but anyhow...

    You can still do that. With the very latest version of iTunes. Select how ever many tracks in iTunes drag them to the Finder (a window, a folder icon, the desktop,) and a copy dialog pops-up in the Finder. If that's not working on your system, something else may be wrong...

    That'd work fine. You can increase the capacity of a Z-RAID array by one by one removing a drive, swapping it with a larger capacity drive and waiting for ZFS to heal itself.

    I'm not entirely sure if any studies have been done, but there are definitely communist, socialist and capitalist corporations in EVE.

    I'd say the majority of corporations are 'socialist' mission running corps. In mission running corps richer (usually older game-time) players help poorer players by giving them Isk, hard to acquire items and most importantly their time and their status with the NPCs in the game. Letting a newbie tag along on a Lvl4 mission goes a long way towards the newbie being able to do Lvl3 missions and improving their self-sustainability.

    Correct. The current leadership of Burma do not have the best grasp of how telecommunications infrastructure can be used to subvert their operations. They got rid of the guy that actually had a clue: Khin Nyunt

    So it's a plus and a minus, Khin would have immediately severed communications as soon as things started, while on the other hand, he more of a moderate. Now they have guy (there are three or so generals that are vying for the top-job,) that don't really have a clue other than to use brute force...

    I don't think they want management as much as equal or better longevity. Some of these plated have lasted over a century, most over 25 years...

    How long would a RAID5|ZFS system last? Ten years? At which point you can no longer get spare-parts for the system (well not easily.)

    Tape systems would have slightly longer longevity (due to tapes being mainly used for backups.)

    Of course cost of storage will go down, so perhaps they could continually upgrade to smaller higher capacity systems, but then it becomes a matter of continual long-term funding...

    Perhaps they could ask Nasa for help? Gold disks ought to last a while...

    Oh, and never-mind they have with digitising the images in the first place...

    The 360s processor has 3 cores. The Cell has 1 core with 8 co-processors (with one core disabled in the PS3.)

    Actually, the RAM is over-clocked, but not by much.

    It's a PC2-6400 stick, which is designed to run at 400MHz (800Mhz DDR.)

    It's not hard to imagine that were such a system implemented, the system would handle various metadata with-regard to your credibitily.

    I think a tree of topics in which you are considered credible would work, with weighing based on how many sub-topics others consider you credible.

    Which part didn't work for you? You don't run BootCamp for anything other than installing the EFI/BIOS funk that Windows needs. You re-partition via the CLI and reboot holding down option key to see firstly the Windows CD and then the Linux CD. Installing eLILO could pose some difficulties, but nothing some research won't fix.

    Actually no, the money will be included into the EU budget. Which will not increase the budget, but will instead reduce the amount that EU members contribute.

    So barring a successful appeal, this will mean a tax break for EU citizens.

    They received their Class A in 1992. So that may have been the case, but then they received theirs before IBM and even the USPS.

    Without more details, I'd say it's a case of forward thinking.
