Yes but in this case its the RADIATION that they are blaming on the sickness. If people are saying they are getting sick with the tower not even powered up, then it is NOT the tower doing it as the only source of said sickness that could be attributed to the tower would be missing.

Your method of testing doesnt even relate to the problem at hand, that of people making up illnesses over a perceived threat. Using your analogy, its more like saying this food is poisoned and getting sicker and sicker as you eat it... yet have no poison anywhere in the food but simply being told "there is poison in this". What they are simply showing (and whats been known for years) is that you can be convinced to be something to the point your body actually goes about and screws with it's self, yet have no actual illness be present.

There are a multitude of factors why the Wii didnt hit 1 mil it's first weekend in Japan, but I would think the biggest one would be because unlike the PS2, the Wii launched in Japan and the US at the same time, and thus split its stock among the two nations. There was a decent gap of time between the PS2's Japan launch and the US one, and in between Japan had almost 0 PS2s in stock anywhere as they where all diverted to the US launch to cover the mil promised here.

Hard to hit a million your first weekend when there is not enough out there.

We pay more for sugar because we import sugar. Congress put really high tariffs on sugar to help out their buddies in the midwest, who needed a use for corn, which has huge subsidization over other grains. Sugar growers caused none of this, they got royally screwed by the US government under the idea of a trade imbalance, and it would be very easy to fix though likely never will because of how in the pocket huge corporate farms are to the democratic and republican parties.

    1) drop sugar importation tariffs.

    2) Stop subsidizing corn or any farmed crops, there is absolutely no need to just like there is no need to subsidize airlines, banks, or ANY corporation for that mater. The only people such subsidization benifits ARE big huge corporate crops owned by huge companies, and not the people they are falsely being created for (IE little mom and pop farms which still exist are practically all gone thanks to the politicians) If some company cant keep going on their own ability to make money and budget properly, then they dont deserve to exist until they can.

Also you have to look at how easy it is to steal a plate (not as easy as you think it is, and in truth it would probably just be easier to steal the car)

as for making one up, well since its going to look at a database of every plate out there, and not just a select few, there is no way in hell your going to be able to make one up to fool it. FFXII was a start, but at the moment post SNES Final Fantasy has 2 good story games going for it, and 3 1/2 ooh look at the pretty pictures ones (I count FFXI as a half since while it didnt start out with a decent story, the last two expansions have had some impressive storyline going for it, especially Chains of Promathia.)

Im sure a bunch of people are going to jump on me with bluray this, and HDMI that, but quite frankly Sony really think about what made their PS2 a huge seller. They though it was the diehards, and built a system perfect for them. What they forgot was the casuals, of which the 100 dollar PS2 became a big seller not the 300 dollar original pricetag version.
