Maybe, but see here is a instance (and not the first one) where despite being overwelmingly against it, Britan is profitting from the crazyness of the law. If the British are that much against the EU (and I would be too, its designed like how the United States works, yet without a head government to control it and pass the laws for it, of course its bound to fail, no two countries are going to have the same law) then thhey would dump the case and just get out.

Face it the EU screwed up and instead of admitting it they are taking the usual bash the US company stance which is why US companies hate working in the EU. The only reason they do is cause the money is still worth the hassle all the convoluted laws cause.

Getting past the EU/England whine fest. The problem here is not that Apple isnt selling to other EU members. Its that the European equivalents of the RIAA wont let them. Its all copyrights, Apple only has the right to sell what each country let them IN each country, not outside of it.

Maybe if you knew a thing or two about how the buisness world worked annd what rights Apple was given after the year and a half of negotiating just to get the rights (which might I add ended up in them being only allowed to sell in the country the rights where granted) and didnt whine about US this and US that, you would see its your own labels who caused the screwup.

  4. Re:Refund? Why? on ITunes Overcharging in the UK · · Score: 2, Interesting
the problem here is all these laws apply to physical items. This is a copyright issue. Apple doesnt have the RIGHT to sell to the entire EU only to the countries the labels allowed them to. It was this fact to begin with which cause such a long delay in rolling the store out, all the labels carried different copyrights acroos all of Europe to the point where one law was different from the other, forcing multiple stores and not one uge one. So Apple never violated any law, its England, France, and Germany's music copyrights organizations who did, but the lawmakers are to arogant to admit that the EU screwed up with not making copyrights open across EU.

Couple this with English citizens who give two shits if the EU goes anywhere unless it gives them an advantage and a strange anti-Apple movement the British lawmakers have and you have our current situation.

But thats what you get when you try to make a multi-country standardize economy yet have multiple different laws in the different countries that go against laws put forth by the EU.

Like I said before, it seems the only people who have problems with the game are either those who subscribe to the EQ style of play and not the original UltimaOnline style. OR who think this is like a normal FF game. I have been playing since May and havent even gotten close to doing 90% of the stuff, heck people have played for 3 years and still havent done it all and they keep adding more stuff (this weeks update fixes your 24/7 bot problem, adds brand new missions, adds new mobs, adds new equipment along with a host of other changes)

A statement like this can only come from someone who has no knowlage of the Macintosh platform... for one thing how do you know those Battle.NET people ARNT mac users.... Mac and PC users run on the same system (I know, I played Starcraft and DiabloII all the time with my friend who runs a PC) and Starcraft has a OSX client as does DiabloII.

Im sorry but your statment stinks of the same mentality of people who continue to keep the Mac down as a viable platform for gaming. A person who grew up on windows, only used windows and has no clue of the advantages to running a mac system, a linux system or the fact that all computers when the programmer knows what they are doing can run the same program with minimal effort done in changing the code, something Blizzard has done from day one, and still something that most PC heads cant grasp because they cant see past their own blinded shortsidedness.

See the problem here is all too often I see most christians havenot only not read the bible, but think that it is all wholesome and ok. This tend to be the same people who also think the Korran is full of evil kill everyone comments.

The fact is though, the writings of all three major religions while having some good in them, also havesome pretty brutal stuff such as rape, incest, murder, etc. And too often all three major religions try to downplay writings that tend to support exactly the view extreamists beleive. In this light the church is very good to do this, since the writings came at a time where I could honestly say we wherent as enlightened as we are now in how fragile our lives are.

But the fact boils down to the truth, that contrary to popular belief of many of the followers of these religions (and a belief the churches would like you to follow even if they dont blatently state it) these works where not and never will be by god or some all knowing being. They where written by men many years in the past and should be treated as such and not scripture like they are. They are very hypocritcal and uncaring of all but the followers of the stated relegion (which in its self is hilarious cause the three religions at odds with each other all stem from the EXACT same writings.... the old testiment of the bible) If more people would pick up and actually read the bible (and actually took the care to understand it) they could see exactly how failable the bible is and maybe we could start moving past looking at writings 3000+ years in the past for our answers and start looking at humanity today.

The rules are EXACTLY the same as in the US, personal use only by the person who owns the CD. personal copying means your alowed a backup copy... guess what in the US YOUR ALLOWED TO HAVE A BACKUP COPY! Your not allowed to send it to people who down own the CD though which is the hitch and where the problems start.

The thing is though, even with all this disscusion of "personal copy" and all, thats not what the iTunes Music Store is for. ITs for those people who dont feel like buying the CD and who like to preview their purchases.

I dont buy CDs. I dont feel the overwelming need to go to the music store anymore. I use iTunes to do all my non rare shoping. and you know what I cut my CD purchasing in half now that I can hear if a track sucks ass or not.

The Server issues where as a result of a routing error between Opimum Onlines main routing stations, and a secondary IP they use and had NOTHING to do with SE as was stated numerous times by them and by OO. They routing error 6 months back was due to Comcast and also not SE, though that one was less sever.

EQ2 is a crashfest... every beta tester out there has said it is NOT ready for release at all, but it will be anyway, much like how EQ was pushed out the door unfinished as was SWG. WoW has its own set of problems, but unlike SoE they are working on it... but also unlike FFXI you cant play with people across the world so while its great in theory, its little more than Diablo with a warcraft cover. I have yet to see any of the storyline though.

And hoesntly there is no TAB problem... I run it on both a PS2 and a PC and havent had a crash once except for one of the CoP bugs which I knew about but did for fun anyway. Now for bugs there ARE, there is still the airship bug where you can fall off it in the PC version, there is the bug involving the fish after CoP showing some stats for the siingly caught ones. but there is no real gameplay bugs, on the PC or the PS2.

Sounds to me you had some sour grapes and just decided to rag on FFXI cause you couldnt hack the party style gamepplay and need to actually fill in the multi, in multi player
