Im sure if it was someone more important it wouldnt have been a issue... but it was real, and they gave him a "use us or we go to microsoft" ploy... If there is one thing people know about Jobs, its you dont try to back him in a corner like that..
I mean CHRIST this is the guy who they say if you step into a elevator with.... your fired and crying by the time you hit your floor!
It is illegal anything that circuvents DRM out into place when there is no need to circuvent it IS illegal. You can burn a DRM free CD, you can upload it to any iPod you want... the DRM DOESNT hurt people and was deemed a legal DRM so therefore the DMCA says if you circuvent it your breaking the law.
Trust me Apples lawyers know what they are doing... just because a shitload of jolted up hippy computers users think its illegal doesnt me they are right
well the open areas arnt... but if you go to college hall there is a map the shows the coverage hits every major building except like the power station and some dorms which will be finished this summer
damn wasnt expecting that! It IS interesting though that The bigger schools in NJ got passed over for a Private school with a bad rep educationally. Could it be cause intel installed their network there????
I go to Montclair, the second largest University in NJ behind Rutgers, and our entire campus iis wireless and yet not even a 100th place....
Infact about half of NJ's schools are entirely wireless and only Cheaton Hall, a freaking private school, got a placement.
something tells me this is a fix.
i used to listen that way... then I realized its dunb, its easier to make a few playlists of songs yo uknow you feel like that day and leave the rest home
Well I have managed to get 1000 songs over the years... but thats like 13 years of buying CDs and stuff... I know people who have 3 times as many CDs and 10,000 songs on their computer... its insain!
and I am a music lover!!!!
very simple.... whens the last car trip you have taken where you get even remotely close to playing 1000 songs?
I sure havent come close with my 5gig 1st gen
I posted this la\st week and got rejected... two other websites post it and all of a sudden its/. worthy... whatever
anyway my take on this is that this isnt even close to being new.... A Perfect Circle's first album wasn't posted as a full album up until recently.... when it was posted as a full album for 11.00... 2 dollars over the 9.99 original album minimum..
there are 13.99 dollar albums out there now... Its a joke
Why we still pussyfoot around and dont file a anti-trust lawsuit for the obvious theft of money from consumers.
now THAT would be a good question.. since we have pretty much made the case that while a US craft would be "US territory" space is not owned by any country.. my guess is once you pass what nasa considers the threshhold of space.. your not under US authority
bullshit we have had so many problems with getting you guys to just honor your agreement to come to troubleshoot which was in OUR CONTRACT.... Applecare has been a saint compaired to the crap we go through on the 4 Dell labs we have in the High School, they come and repair the machine, you guys dont even come to troubleshoot
Like I said in my sig, where everything you post gets modded a troll even when it made a point...
someone ought to keep the children away from the mod button
and can you blame them? Apple wasnt so patent happy back in the old days and look what it got them, they lost their interface design to the company making their Office software wh then turned around and made a 2nd rate OS based on it..
iMac is released and 4 seperate comapnies make a PC with EXACTLY the same design
original iPod comes out and Dell and Rio make iPod clone that look EXACTLY like the iPod sans the good looking interface... one of them even uses Apples font!
The company makes designs that then get hacked apart by cheap knockoffs... why is it not cool for a software/hardware company to protect its design , but perfectly fine for your shoe company, or your coffee pot maker to protect it... you really would be surprised how many companies protect their products by patening them...
AND if they are patenting the thing I think they are, its the combination trackpad button setup of the iPod mini and rumored redesign on the 4th gen iPod they are patenting, not the player itself... which is understandable cause It really is a VERY good design
amazing... just simply amazing how someone who didnt have a clue and cant back up one claim in this statement... got modded a insightful.
No offence but there are at least 10 different benchmarks that while not showing Apple blowing away the compitition SHOWED that the G5 was indeed faster especially a year ago when this claim (and ad) was made. There wasnt some careful plot, when using the same benchmarks that apple used, only homebuilt computers came out faster, BUT YOU HAVE TO BUILD A COMPUTER LIKE THAT YOURSELF, no company makes one like that, so Apple claim of offering the fastest home computer holds true, when no other company sells a faster model.
Apple didnt lie in its adds, Dell is just sour because they cant make the same claim.

Honestly lets get it straight here... even if the RIAA didnt exist you would STILL have companies trying to protect their music from being ilegaly downloaded, Its just that with the RIAA you have the strongarm tactics that they use.
AHhhhh but we also know that Microsoft bought a X86 emulator which could very well have been because they wanted to get it to work with the IBM 970 chipset (it didnt previously)
That would support them buying Conectex Virtual PC to keep backwards compatability.
Has anyone thought that maybe, like the PS2, you could plug in xBox devices into the xBox next, thus getting the button compatability you need?
HAHAHAHAHAH sept your wrong... why is the 1984 Macintosh called a PC as well? Its in all of the ads at that time. You DO realizes Microsoft was still making software for apple at that time and was not in any position to be a powerhouse.
better look up your history boy, the PC (or PERSONAL COMPUTER) name was NOT invented in any way by microsoft. Its a term that was used to describe ALL home computers (Apple's Comodores, IBM's. etc.) that like everything else Microsoft stole
there is no use arguing... he's never going to look past his blindness in thinking that apples digital music foray is in some way the wintel equivalent of Microsofts owning EVERYTHING.
which it isnt

I just shook my head
not so, a lot of people on a LOT of mac websites thought it was a mistake. The running argument was for 50 dollars more you can get a 10 gig.
