Mod parent up. This is pretty much a requirement (unfortunately) and there needs to be some resolution otherwise the iPhone will miss a large portion of the market. Especially by the people with money who could be the first people to adopt it when it is a $500 device.
Because the iTV is half that price at $299, and tailored specifically to the market. People won't have to fight with it, it will just work. And video content won't be, or seem to be, and secondary consideration to playing games, like on a PS3 or XBox 360.
I don't understand your arguement. Apple currently ships a dual-processor workstation and each CPU has dual cores, referred to as the Quad G5. The article points out the obvious that the only way to duplicate this is with the Woodcrest Xeon parts since the Conroe is dual core, however it does not support more than a one CPU configuration. If Apple is to at least match and hopefully succeed the perceived and true power of their current offerings, they need a Quad core workstation as they offer now with the Quad G5. Two Woodcrest Xeon CPUs is the only way to achieve this goal with Intel's lineup. And the cheaper version will most likely mirror the G5 version as well, only sporting one Woodcrest Xeon with dual cores.
Apple is doing what is possible whith the chips that are available. And of course its a no brainer that as soon as a CPU with four cores or more is available from Intel, Apple will be looking for ways to get it in a Mac.
I had great luck with Biocompatibles ProClear brand. But then they had some distribution issues related to counterfit lenses and the company changed hands I believe and they were hard to find for awhile. I would still recommend them. But while that went on I switched to Focus brand monthly lenses which are good but not quite as good as the Proclears. Both of these brands have a very good oxygen transfer rating as another responder mentioned problems with low oxygen exposure of the eye.
Eye dryness is a very individual issue however and I beleive I end up being on the end of the spectrum without dryness problems.
Sure, but some risks are bigger thatn others. And like the granparent post said, I too would rather keep wearing corrective lens (contacts in my case) rather than risk loosing site for life. Even if that risk is small. The potential loss is huge. If given such a horrible choice I would much rather loose appendages or other sensory organs/sensations than my vision.
And the average sales tax per states that have them in the US is around 5-7%. So all told in the end after UK import tariffs and such the prices are about the same.
Couldn't the SSL Certificate issuer just revoke the certificate of anyone using said certificate for malicious or illegal purposes? That would at least give some warning to uses with a bad or unknown certificate message.
I was invited to WWDC on Apple's dime a few times and they do this with student's every year to some extent. It's Apple's way of getting to know you better as you will also meet with engineers and others at events and invited lunches etc. This is Apple's interviewing tactic... you never even know you are being interviewed, until they offer you a job.
It is a fringe benefit. They are not obligated to offer you the benefit to accrue vacation time. But if they have, and you have accrued time, you must be compensated for that time. It cannot just evaporate upon termination. After you have earned time according to whatever company policy then it is the saw as payroll, it is owed to you by the company and they must compensate you for it upon termination.
Good point. So then the additional mass of the water would be spread over additional land mass (since the sea level would rise). I'm sure some nifty and complicated computation could be done on this but I'm betting it would come close one way or another to break even in terms of having an effect such as the parent of this thread discribed.
In fact, I think it would be in the inverse of what was hypothesized and that the melting of the ice on the continent of Antarctica (or another landmass) would relieve pressure it now is under and they would rise. Generate a tsunami? Anything is possible, but I'm sure there will be a lot more to worry about in terms of regional climate change affecting food, water, etc if we get to the point where Anartica melts away.
And don't forget Tsunamis. The media are going round saying "it was plate tectonics wot done it". I agree that they are necessary for it to happen, but a few billion extra tons of water in the ocean is definitely going to increase the forces on the bottom of the ocean, just like it causes earthquakes when morons build excessively large reservoires above hydraulic power dams.
Actually the weight, or mass, distribution of the ocean with ice floating on or in it, and then the same ocena with said ice melted is the exact same. Ice doesn't get heavier when it melts.
RTFA. It was a pre-arranged trading plan so the timing in immaterial.
iTunes always has and still does let you rip and/or import any of your own music.

The SiteKey isn't flawed, the people are.

Eight steps forward, one step back. That isn't so bad is it, it's still progress. :-/

Just use a Mac mini and your existing router and get a whole lot more with everything you wanted above.

True. But depth perception is a critical component of good vision.
Interesting point. That might get me to change my mind, any idea where to look for some good facts?

Read the original parent post, the telnet session in question is over SSL.
iTunes was not the first.

Um yeah, I forgot to check the anonymous check box on the original post as I intended. Oops, cat's out of the bag.

Although in practice it is pretty much the norm in more than just the 23 states listed with laws on the books.

By law, in the United States at least, an employeer must award or compensate an employee for any vacation time earned by the time of termination.

The AirClick now comes in a dock connector version.
