Which would be true if gnome didn't completely suck. I welcome people to try the countless other window managers and desktop packages out there. But in the game that gnome is trying to play KDE stands alone as the only real winner.
Linux has sure ended all other desktops for me. Now I have two Linux desktops, a Linux server, and a Windows Gaming Console, which still manages to crash more than my GameCube launch software.
Wouldn't this be similar to a multiprocessor setup where the processing load could be distributed over multiple CPUs? Because there are a number of games that support that and I don't see why you wouldn't get a similar benefit from having dual core.
I'm not sure you can really have hard data on if something feels "sluggish". Is there any sort of objective way to gauge something like that?
For anecdotal evidence my KDE 3.3.2 is quite noticeably faster than my previous version (think it was 3.2) and that was already felt faster and smoother than Windows XP on the same hardware. I don't even want to think what using something like Fluxbox would be like since it was already unsettlingly smooth when I was still running a 1.4 tbird.
So two gay men decide to get married in a state that has laws prohibiting it. They are denied a marriage license, sue the state, and the court orders lawmakers to make it legal. The court does not "write" the law, but through interpretting other laws they are making it just as well as if they had.
Either way, let's let this go and return to fighting the good fight against them religious extremist types.
Calm down, son. Did you just call me a "religious extremist"? Because we might need to step outside if you did. I'm not just an abortion supporter, I'm an enthusiast.
By making an interpretation judges are making law. If you can't understand that I surely hope you aren't voting. Though anyone stupid enough to call me a religious extremist probably shouldn't be breathing either.
But what they DON'T want is non-consuming sheeple. That is probably why they do whatever they can to stop universal healthcare and to make marijuana as illegal as possible.
Maybe if you showed them how many twinkies you can consume while smoking pot they'd change their minds.
Wait, you're saying you can use the gnome GUI? I'm calling bullshit!
Didn't you hear that BSD is dead?
Yes, but does she run Linux?

Of course, you could chalk all that up to a: knowing what I'm doing on Windows and b: not _really_ knowing what I'm doing on Linux.
I think the former proves the latter. Perhaps you should try having your Linux brought to you by the letters K, D, E, and the number 3.

You should just get the Maya and LW kids together to gang up on the poor saps who are stuck using 3DS Max. Where do you work by the way?
I'd go watch it again since I forgot the line, but I'm boycotting my copy because the DVD is p&s cropped to look like letterbox.
Then I guess it's time to put on the Superman costume and run up and down the stairs real fast.

DOSBox
You seem to be confused by the joke he was making. It involves the adjective "cracked".
Actually, I expect not to.
Or more likely just iTiVo.
Windows Media Center Extender
Through massive dumbing down? I don't see many Tivo owners having problems using it. I think the dumbing down is already there, son.
I don't remember the link, but someone had hacked some cell phone keyboard to plugin through the power/expansion slot or something.
That would really depend on a lot on the accuracy of your self-assessment.

Also the variant form "alot".
But that still leaves them with nine free fingers.
