Which is why the IMAX version is SO much better than the original theatrical cut. They cut out the majority of his bad acting and it's sort of an acceptable summer sci-fi action movie.
And even more fortunately Epic has an even better solution. They put out better game than iD and Linux binaries ARE ON THE DISC THE DAY OF RELEASE!... now if only they'd keep the play-stopping crash bugs from finding their way into the initial binaries...
At some point everyone had to learn how to do those things. And a door knob is a stupid analogy to make (especially when you can't spell it) with a computer. Maybe when I can make a good living by manipulating a door handle or turning on a light switch it'll be relevent.
Good point. Why should we have to learn how to do anything. Let's all just be stupid forever.
If you never learn anything about how to operate your computer it severely limits what you are going to be able to do with it.
If all you want to do is play games and use the three stupid programs that come with your windows or mac then you probably don't need to learn anything.
But then again, the only guy I know who really fits into that category can't figure out how to print from a web browser.
You're not going to get knowledge without learning, so I guess it's up to you to decide if you want to be an idiot and not know stuff. But that should NEVER get in the way of people who do what to use their computers to do things and don't feel that life-long ignorance is a good solution.
Actually, the fascist action is giving corporations control over government and letting them do whatever they like. Perhaps you should get a fucking clue before using words which you have no idea the meaning of.
My Slackware 10 is easier to setup and get running reasonably than windows xp, and that's without a gui installer. Even my mom could do it.
And the reason windows lusers migrate to Linux and not the other way around has nothing to do with how difficult it is or isn't to install/configure/setup and everything to do with what all the OEMs ship preinstalled. I guarantee you that if tomorrow Dell, Sony, HP, and all the rest started shipping Linux exclusively and a wider range of games came out natively for Linux that none of the sheep would complain, or likely even notice that they weren't using windows, except that some script kiddie wouldn't be owning their boxen every third day.
As for how Linux was 5+ years ago, look at how long it took windows to get to its current state. Linux is as useable if not more so than windows, is a whole fuck of a lot more stable, and easier to install than windows xp. windows 1.0 came out in 1985. That's 19 years if you can count that high. Linux is only 13, asshat. And it's already better than windows.
You sir could use a good Dick In Eye(tm) to set your brain straight.
My cable company is extorting money from me. A few months ago they started charging 10$/month more for cable internet access because I don't subscribe to cable tv and they're too lazy to block access to it. Never mind that they have NEVER informed me of the price increase and that I haven't watched any tv in longer than I can remember.
Only an idiot would pay those kinds of prices for tv. The same kind of idiot who fails to see how charging 5$/month for everyone when everyone isn't involved is extortion.
If you aren't active in the Democratic party but agree with them more than the Republicans you are just throwing away your vote. If all of the "decent" people leave the party there won't be any of them left to pick.
It's really pretty simple. On a national level no third party candidate will stand a chance for some time so it's better to stay in the one you side with more and try to pull them more toward your way of thinking.
Of course more smaller parties would be a better way to go, but the current system doesn't really allow for that on a national level. By leaving the Democrats to die you're not doing anything to change them. At best you'll just leave them dead on the side of the road and we'll be stuck with only one major national party.
It's a common mistake to refer to Soviet as Soviet Russia... Russia was a part of the Soviet Union same way as Estonia, so, saying what you actually did doesn't make any sence;)
And your argument might have weight when:
1) I have to pay 150$ for a kettle that doesn't even heat water without spending another 400$+.
2) When the quality and compatibility level of software has become so standardized that I can swap out any piece of software with any other and make it work.
3) When the makers of a kettle can sue you for making tea for you and your friends without them also paying full price for the kettle.
Perhaps the reason they are cloning popular micros~1 programs is because they are attempting to get windows users to go "oooh, it's just like windows, only cheaper" and switch to Linux.
Which obviously isn't the right way to go about it, since windows users don't really care.
But that's all part of the open source thing. People who can program (most anyone) can write shit and gain influence in the community, even if they have no clue as to what they should be doing or how they should be doing it.
And how is copying crap from micros~1 like the registry good for anyone? The micros~1 worship from de Icaza is really rather sickening.
Perhaps his next project will be porting the BSOD or it's replacement, the spontanious reboot, to Linux.
I can't believe you advertise your site in public. How embarrassing it must be to be so invincibly ignorant. Or are you one of those rare cases of true sub-human stupidity?

Maybe that's because you don't know much. The increase in outsourcing in just the last 4 years is staggering.
Should have switched them to a real operating system.

Holy shit! What kind of idiots do you get to pay 60$ to remove spyware?
But why vote for Steve Jobs's and Apple's lesser of two evils when you can vote Linux and fight for good and for awesome?

And second, is frequenting the fox news of technology sites really what you all want to be doing?
In Soviet Russia the *sense* makes you.

Is it ever not retard night on slashdot?
I think this is getting a bit closer: "Once it's in, it's licensed under the GPL and you MUST give it away if you distribute it."
Though obviously a lot more complicated than that and only requires free distribution of source code even if binaries are sold.
Or you could just buy the 35w 2400+ mobile for about 6$ more and overclock that bitch past the 3200+.
Karma be damned. This color scheme is ass-to-ass.
See, now you don't even need to search google.
They're hurting from the weight of all that cash they made last year. That much loot is heavy.
