In all countries you need a TV license to operate a TV Transmitter. I think what you are referring to is that some country make you have a license for a TV receiver.

Just for reference, I've been using my 4gb EEE as my main work machine since December, as a replacement for my MacBook. It's exactly what I wanted. The iPod touch in noway can be compared to it, as the EEE would be horrible at being a Touch replacement; and vice versa.
If we pull water out of the sky, and stop pulling it from lakes wouldn't that lead to higher evaporation rates? and thus us still pulling water from the lakes, albeit indirectly?
