I sat on hold with AT&T wireless for six hours. No joke. I was driving from San Antonio to Dallas and simply routed the on hold music though the car stereo.
Heh, I used to play Battlefield Vietnam with some friends....imagine their horror when my mouse battery dies as I'm piloting the helicopter everyone is in....It was a sad sad day
Man I remember that. I was working at a cell phone refurbishing shop in the late 90's. Smoking 3rd party Nokia batterys were a weekly, if not daily occurance. Depending on volume of nokias that week.
Yup, I live in a world where the music from the 60's and 70's predominates, and movies from the 80's reign supreme. Thank you used record stores and DVD reissues!
Here Here! While I might like the drag and drop flexability, and writing my own syncing script. The lady doesn't know nor care about it. She just wants it to work, and that's why I love apple most of the time their stuff simply works as advertised without too big a headache.
That and you can get used records cheap if you know where to look. I've got 40 or 50 records now that I've assembled for under $50. Most of that expence was spent on a *good* copy of Dark Side of the Moon, and Led Zep IV. I usually pay $1-$2 for a decent album, way cheaper then iTunes.
Heh, easy there man. Take some Diazepam or whatever you need then we can talk.
Ya I know I'm out side the bell curve, then again I find it OK to not have Air Conditioning in the Texas Summer. Rush hour? Don't get me started, I live next to the two busiest freeways in North Dallas! Guess what! I go out of my way to not have a huge gasoline bill, close apartment to work, small econobox car, etc.
"You are just looking to stir up some shit." Heh, looks like I didn't have to man.
"Of course, how many times you have to fill your tank every week depends on a huge number of factors, so that answer is going to vary greatly from person to person." Looks like you made my point for me...Thanks.
Bah! Over here at UTD (Plano/Richardson area) we proudly have t-shirts that proclaim
"UTD Football - Still Undefeated!"
Heh, while that may be true, it's not like that was the largest invasion in the history of the world or anything.
"(Disclaimer: I'm not a teenager)"
In the best of slashdot tradition I think you ment "IANAT"
By using someone elses?

Dude that sounds like a plot line straight from back to the future!
That's when it's time to leave the country...perhaps find a nice little island in the pacific or something.

I fill a 10 gallon tank once a month thanks. Granted I live a mile from work, don't have an AC, and drive a manual.
Acutally you would need to use miles per inflation adjusted dollar to cover the future and past.
Hey I really like that mouse! It is/was a joy to use small but still wide enough to feel just right when held between the thumb and index finger.
