THis happens a lot. My friend used to work for an airline, and he had made comments about weak airline security to his coworkers and boss, and that he was concerned how easy it would be for someone on the inside to disrupt air traffic. They called the transport authority and they have basically black listed him from being at an airport and told him he was lucky they didn't press charges.

  18. sad day on Low Powered SOHO Server? · · Score: -1, Offtopic

It's a sad day in this world. A country like the USA, which made many scientific advancements, like the lunar landings, and other notable things in fields of biology and technology has decided to entertain this in schools. Forget your war on terror, I think we need to stop this war on science that is crippling the education system and returning this great country to the dark ages, with high preists, witchcraft and other such nonsense. This is a serious issue and parents need to start lobbying against these idiots who want their beleifs taught in science classes.

  20. well.... on Why Do-It-Yourself Photo Printing Doesn't Add Up · · Score: 3, Interesting

WEll part of the issue is the cost of the ink. Print shops buy more and therefore it's cheaper, they also have higher grade equipment that doesn't break as often as our home eqipment (broken heads come to mind, then oyu have to replace the whole cartridge, OR buy a new printer in the case of Epson).

However, despite it being cheaper elsewhere, if you need a print right away for some reason, I would hate to not have the ability to push one out every 2 minutes.
