1) Any link into MSDN fucks up on a regular basis.
Not sure if that is MSDN specific (or entire Microsoft), but they have changed the format of their links and removed documents so damned often over the years that nothing can be bookmarked. Maybe its because we use commie browsers etc, but its not a nice way to build an information network.
I would like to be the first person to make good on your request.
I am willing to supply you with £10 ^ n where n is a none negative integer *.
However, as a simple confirmation that you are 18 years and over, I need your credit card and account details. Additionally, there will be a small surcharge of £2.50 for this service.
Phishing sites will include a big button as well clicking it will say: Of course your on the real bank website
it does no good - i prefer the way my bank currently does it - I told them (in person when setting this up) a pass code, when logging in, they ask me for random sections of it (ie 1st, third and last digits).
The scammers must manage to fool me multiple times to gain complete access to my account details.
Why do you have a problem with somebody making money? Slashdot exists to do the same thing, exept taco etc don't even do ANY work - its all submitted. I don't mind Roland or any other submitters as long as the subjects are interesting and direct links are available.
In the article, the girl says (regarding the lack of women in MS) "It should be balanced -- an equal amount of men and an equal amount of women," she explained afterward.
I think in any job the only people who should be there are those that have proven their worth. This OTT political correctness/quota balancing act in lots of workplaces is just dumb.
I can actually see a very practical use for putting a screen like this in car.
During the trip, the driver should only have access to nav displays, directions etc. At the same time, the passenger can be watching a movie or tv etc.
When you stop the car, you can switch it back to single channel and both enjoy the movie.
This is especially practical since the positions of the people in the car are quite fixed.
A agree about mobile phones however, just give us a larger screen rather than fudging a use where none is required.
The way I am reading this, it is a problem with the newest latest greatest compiler. Especially since this problem appears to have surfaced in the last 12 months, and has never been an issue before.
It may only be the first time it has come from a first post, but it happens often enough deep down in the threads. More often however its 2 or 3 days after the article hit the front page, so the chances of seeing it are low:)
I still occasionally go back over the text books I used in school and college. It helps to get myself back into the mindset required for an infrequently used subject.
The Canadarm on its own cannot reach to the places required, however, the Canadarm creators (MD Robotics have come up with an extension boom for the shuttle.
In orbit, this attaches to the end of the Canadarm and is able to inspect the entire surface.
They have a rather cool animated walkthrough and some images here.
It was none of those things.
I certainly wasn't trying to be funny, this guy was shot in cold blood.
I am ashamed to be British at the moment, I thought we believed in innocent until proven guilty.
This guys' only crime was to shit himself and run when a group of plain clothed men shouting stuff in a foreign language and chasing him with guns.
In that situation I too would run, would you?
The British police could have just shot him on sight of course.
I still can't get past the stigma of these drives.
Its like hearing about a new form management tool from Claria.

I also hear Microsoft Vista will be Open Source as well ;)
Oh shit, sorry, its not April 1st.
Which address do I tell the VOIP service to pass onto 911?
Using a laptop and roaming means I may connect from anywhere.
Its useless sending emergency services to my home when I'm lying in a ditch somewhere.

Google are there to help everyone.
I bet this guys' first action was to google for a lawyer.
NoScript is wonderful, except I want LOCALLY exectuted scripts injected by my bookmarklets to still be running.
There should be a distinction between code installed into the page by either an addin, or by a bookmark click.
I removed Noscript once I realised my "remove redirects" shortcut had stopped working, and there was no easy way to allow it.
Whatever fix is required to allow my remove redircts is likely to be the same fix required for grease monkey or other user injected script inclusions.

Lets get this thread back on the straight and narrow

It helps to get myself back into the mindset required for an infrequently used subject.
It also brings back some great memories.

What should we do?
Raise the deflector shields, or cover the shuttle with inanimate carbon rods?
I pay for my cable TVwhats the fucking point?
If you see its a dupe, don't waste a page impression.
Its not a dupe to everyone
