    I could not agree more.
    The only reasonable scenario for having this data live is on the PDA of city officials and fire crews on the ground.
    Even if that were the case it still should not be available to the public public without a delay.

    This news started to come out a few days ago when the EU started negotiating about the flight data given to the Americans.

    What I wonder is will American travellers to Europe be forced to wear these, and will security teams be able to zap anyone acting suspiciously.

    Could we even vote to have folks we don't like zapped?

    No, I think youtube have it about right.

    If people mark a video as questionable it gets the cover sheet.
    You can still see the video if you confirm you are an adult.
    after youtube staff verify the video actions are taken (deletion or removal or the flag).

    Its not censorship or anything.
    its common sense.

    Back when I was writing C I never had a problem with void, sure it might be technically incorrect but back then I didn't care.
    My compiler was happy, my programs worked and I only ever used the int return when I needed to.

    Slashdot is a discussion board, but it has blogging features due to the journals each person can post (in the zoo).
    Its got all the elements of a freidnster type social networking site (with friends and foes and private discussions etc).

    Its like web 2.0 without the chunky graphics.

    But I thought there had to be a completely secure path:

    Data -> Codec -> TCPM -> Graphics Card -> Secure Monitor.

    The monitor drivers you speak of are just frequency settings, the trusted function will be an operation of the graphics card ie

    NV.isMonitorHDCPCompliant(mykey)

    They wouldn't leave such a big glaring hole as user mode drivers for such an "important" part of the HDCP verification process.
