If the law of the country your in states that you cannot legally do a certain thing on the net, say gambling for example, then you didn't have the 'freedom' to do so in the first place, so how is this restricting your freedoms? Its simply helping to enforce the law.
Ive been using FF3b5 since it came out, on multiple machines, on xp, vista and ubuntu, all using gmail, without any problems whatsoever. Might be another issue affecting you
Trademarking a colour is not unheard of, there are plenty of companies who have trademarked a colour. E.g. Cadbury ( the chocolate maker ) has trademarked the colour purple. But note that in this case, you cannot use purple as the main packaging/advertising colour in a chocolate product, it can be used elsewhere without issues.
This is just more of the same. The issue will be whether the two companies are 'selling' a similar product.
That may be true, but the problem is that the fuel ( and there will be alot of it ), could be used in dirty bombs. They wont vaporise enitre city blocks, but they will cause a major contamination issue, not to mention the much bigger effect of paranoia such a bomb can spread.
And we've all seen how vulnerable Western society is to paranoia...
"Blame your fellow citizens for that gripe." How about blaming a judicial system that actually lets people sue over the slightest perceived inconvenience, and which actually lets them win said lawsuit. Those who can, do....those who cant, sue.
The majority of people here seem to think the rail gun is powered by a huge capacitor bank which takes a long time to charge, or required a nuclear power station to run it in a ship....bollocks.
A Megajoule class railgun is powered by a Compulsator, a type of modified alternator ( compensated for low inductance to provide enormous current pulses )...the rotor is spun up by a large engine, and the rotational energy in the rotor is turned into multiple high current pulses...in earlier test systems ( still megajoule class ), they can fire a burst of 10 shots on one spinup. These things can be scaled to fit in a modern tank, or up to naval gun size.
The difference is that movies etc, are commercial use, not personal use, which is what fair use is all about. Music scores, stock photos/video producers will still get paid as someone is making money off their work, which is not the case for personal use.
"...and with its aid, guidance and direction enter this country bent on hostile acts are enemy belligerents..."
So therefore the people taken from other countries are not technically 'enemy combatants' as they were not trying to enter your country. So they still fall under a non-defined grey area, assuming the above statement is the official word.
Is that legal? I thought you could make *optimize* something for your own hardware instructions, but can you legally make it worse for other people? Hi there, you must be new to Reality(TM). We can see the problem here. Youre confusing the word *legal* with *moral*. Its a common urban myth that legality and morality are two sides of the same coin. Thankfully, this is not the case, and this Re-Education Reminder is a friendly reminder of such facts.
Welcome to the 21st century, enjoy your stay.

It would be interesting to imagine what you could do with those rovers if they had an RTG or two instead of solar panels as the power source ( ignoring the inevitable debate about sending RTG's onto other planets ). Each rover could potentially survive decades if the bot was designed for longevity, and could be running night and day.
A high power budget enables plentiful science options...
The 5% mix was due to getting the Land Rover to run on the biodiesel. Only for demonstration on an "off-the-shelf" land rover. I watched the story on the news in Dec.
You have to remember that if the keyboard turns out as well as we expect, then the high price is not a problem. There are a very large number of rich people around the world, and having something as useful and good looking as we hope the Maximus turns out to be, it would become a status symbol. All the rich geeks can get to have one and brag about it...Thats all assuming the reviews are positive, but this is such a great and good looking idea its a guaranteed sell. Gamers would love it, Photoshop users would love it, hell i would love it.
With the demand the price will come down as production scales, its just a matter of time until it becomes affordable. Ipods cost alot but plenty of people still buy them, one of these could be as must have as the ipod.
You wont damage your card. The GPU's cooling system is rated for keeping the GPU within its thermal design spec at full load, how long you run it doesnt matter as long as there is adequate ventilation. That applies to gaming too, so its not a problem. As to sppeding up its death, your card will become obsolete by the time that happens.

What the hell are you on about, read TFA, this happened in NZ, not Australia.
There is a fair bit of difference between believing and knowing!

Bollocks, if life was "fair and the word is perfect", then greed wouldnt exist.
Thought experiments like these are a waste of bytes and time, its akin to wondering "what doG* wants"

We would, if the US was part of the commonwealth, which it is thankfully not.

Kinda makes you wonder how much a typical linux distro would be sold for if it was closed source.
"where do you think they got the idea for waterboarding from?"
Pol Pot?

it matters because the melting point of lead free solder is well below 400deg C!
WHO got tired of them? ohh, him....no evidence of existance; next.

It would be approx 1.34x10^15 football fields, or 1.34 peta-american football fields.
The guy in the video was American ( Soddering? ), the Geneva Convention doesnt apply there.

Almost? Thats like saying that a tuatara is almost as intelligent as a human.
