As you offered nothing in return to us, the public, when you extended your copyrights, there was no "consideration" exchanged for what you wanted us to "grant" you. Ergo, because of YOUR actions, the entire contract is *null and void*. You have NO claim to copyright now, thus there can BE no copyright infringement... because YOU broke the contract. I - and the rest of the public - am no longer beholden to adhere to the terms of a contract once YOU refused to uphold your end of the bargain.

My guess is MOST of "you" could do better than the TSA, especially if whatever classified information the TSA gets is included in the deal.

In many or perhaps even most of the situations I've encountered, when a facility is engineered BY THE PEOPLE THAT NEED IT, it is typically better designed, better staffed, better tuned to solve the actual problems, and less prone to greed, graft and corruption. When a problem or flaw is found the user community typically responds pretty quickly to address it and create a fix for it.

In contrast, in my experience, whenever a mostly disinterested party (i.e., the government) gets involved, you typically get bloat, bureaucracy, corruption, apathy, half-assed attempts at sort of doing something that resembles taking action to consider thinking about maybe possibly doing something about it, someday, maybe, after we study the problem some more and assign it to a few more select committees, and then no-bid outsource it to a third-party contracting firm, who also happens to be a large contributor to the campaign...

So thanks for pointing that out-- but now my question is, which system would YOU rather have to keep YOU safe ???

When my FIOS Internet went o the blitz, I called to get it fixed. They kept telling me that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. And then backed it up with their computer phone tree... I loved their computerized responses: "We are committed to fixing your problem by Monday (today's date)" ... then tomorrow: "We are committed to fixing your problem by Tuesday (tuesday date)"... then wednesday: "We are committed to fixing your problem by Wednesday (wednesday date)"... fuckers never called me back until Friday night... told them I'd already had Comcast fix the problem-- stupid tech actually protested that Comcast couldn't have solved it since they didn't own their (Verizon's) equipment! It was a long ten-count before it dawned on him what I meant.

When Verizon works, their service is fine. But as a company, THEY SUCK ASS.

On top of that, the "tangible property" must be "countable" in order for it to satisfy the "tangible" aspect. Thus the sellers of music will have to serialize their music and _declare it ahead-of-time__ so as to be able to catalog them as separate inventory items (under the same sku of course). So that means that Sony (or whomever) will have to report to the government exactly how many serialized copies of each song they own and are selling to consumers.
