    it would be nice to start off with a clean slate but the questions you have to asks yourself is:
    * is it necessary to overhaul the entrie system?
    * how long should this legacyfree system be available until another legacyfree system becomes available making the preivous system a legacy system?

    the current slow progess is better since there is never a true legacyfree system so gradually adding features to say the motherboard as is done today (like new chipsets and usb etc) is the way to go.

    i hate the need for EVERYTHING to be backwards compatible. every once in a while you have to leave the legacy at home. if something is superior and can be assimilated in sure the borg, i mean the XFree86 project can do the same, and any of the opensource projects. that is perfection.

    dead unless all development has stopped. i would say the actually e17 wm is dead at the moment but since the underlying libraries are being developed it dead state is only temperary.

    i remember the days when e was the nicest looking thing around and from some of the screen shots it looks like it can be again. however looks arent everything copout.

    of course not, he is called hack4life! so being an elite hacker that hacks until he eventually dies unless humans can become more than biologically immortal must have hacked or cracked depending on if you work in the media he therefore must have hackered into the system storing these vunerabilities with other vunerabilities which havent been documented by cert therefore disclosing vunerabilities that will soon be closed and worthless to the elite hacker. yeah it could have been an inside job.
