Huffing gas isn't something you should do very often due to potential danger, but i would assume it's entertaining for those who do it and it's definitely social, since most of the time you hear about people doing it in groups. And fistfights seem to be quite entertaining, or people wouldn't pay to see them. Mowing a lawn is a social thing too, it helps you get along with pesky neighbors and/or see them depending on the height of the lawn, and some do find it entertainin.
My point really was that everything that's entertaining and social should be done in moderation, so it's not really terribly descriptive. For example, trolling slashdot is something that's entertaining and social, but should only be done in moderation.

Umm, you do know that Linux uses X11 too right? I guess you also know that the Mac OS X X11 implementation is largly based on the linux one, but has some compositing improvements which actually speed it up compared to linux.
My impression from brad of livejournal, is that on his mac, applications are zippier if run under linux than under os x. I think that's what the parent is refering to. When you run on linux, X11 is the lowest level windowing api. When you run on OS X, the X11 stuff gets translated to another windowing api before it goes to the hardware.
Mac users just aren't used to having menus show up in application windows.
I use linux daily at work, I still cannot stand this setup. It's just not usefull. I keep having to first find the graphic window under all my other apps, then all the toolbar windows. It's just stupid.

Mac OS (by default) has one menu bar to rule them all at the top of the screen. When the current application changes, so does the menu bar at the top of the screen.

You can buy a PS2 linux dev kit, you can get the Sega network boot disc (labeled phantasy star online) on the gamecube, or you can do that no modchip thing with the xbox.

The compaq proliant 7000 (xeon) I've got came with a smart array 3100es, which does raid on the 3 hot swap scsi cages, and there's a special slot on the i/o board for a second 3100es, so that if one dies, i can just hotswap in a spare. (the two slots pci-x plus 3 channels of scsi that go to scsi cages, and a fourth scsi channel for controller to controller communication)
The Via C3 processor has encryption acceleration, which can be helpful, and you can get them in passively cooled configurations, which will help with reducing fan noise.
Depending on what his needs are, a Via processor might be a good choice.
The logo is there in search of trademark suits, not copyright, and was originally added to facilitate suits against bootlegers in some asian countries where copyright suits were not successful. However in the US, Sega v. Accolade was ruled in favor of Accolade, and gives precedent to it being ok to display unlicensed trademarked logos and untrue statements regarding licensing in order to get your game to boot.
I don't know about the status of bypassing the 'license enforcement' in other countries however.

A harp would indeed be trouble, but a bass isn't that big of a deal. I've got a book recommending when you fly with a bass to get an extra seat for it, and stick it neck down in the seat next to you. As long as it's not a full bus, you wouldn't have much trouble.
It's probably easier than jamming it into a compact sedan.

I personally found secondary.org didn't pick up my dns records terribly well. I found twisted4life.com did a much better job.
