If you didn't know what it was then you shouldn't have dled it anywayz, it's just not smart to dl things at random. Anyway, it's your own fault, no the/. editors fault that you don't know what it is. Assuming you live in America, then you have no excuse not to know what it is. After all, it was the talk of the whole country for about a week.... (yes, this country really is that full of conformist, narrow-minded, capitilistic brainwash ^^... i am looking forward to the great communist revolution, if only they werent all delayed in asia:(... )
you forgot the most important one. Refusing to let MS ownz your system with Service Pack EULAs. EVIL SP, EVIL EULA.... but, I need that security patch. Damn them....
It is the companies right to patent their discoveries and to charge what they want to those that want to buy it. After all, they invested the time, money , and resources into its discovery. Also, it would be rather hypocritical for a capitalistic system to say "Hey, you've done the hard work, but you will reap no benefits. Instead, the people who need this will be charged a price deemed appropriate." Though this would benefit society as a whole, the corporation would flounder (we call that socialism^^). So when does the needs of the many outway the needs of the few? And where does the gov't stand on such issues? Traditionally, the american gov't has felt that "what is good for business is good for america." Yet, such functions as the FDA have been known to step in and not deem the drugs safe for use until the price drops.... But then again, why shouldn't the corporation be allowed to charge as they please. After all, if not for their efforts and funds, the discovery may have never have been made and even more would suffer. Why should those who can afford the cure not enjoy their luxury, and the poor realize that there are many things they cannot afford, why should this be any different. Of course, this would look bad from a humanitarian stance.
i assume that all the assholes of/. have told you that would be worldwide sales, so i wont mention it any further...
though i will offer you this link to a very important speech that might answer your...
questions
The point is not actually to ban alchohol but to point out the inconsistencies and hypocritical status of the laws as they are now. If you lost your precious alchohol and tobacco, maybe you'd rethink your policies and drugs.... maybe.
right now a wireless network is too expensive for a student. After all, so many students are in dept from loans to pay for college in the first place. Maybe when wireless becomes cheaper, the entir city will be a giant p2p network. Yum! ^^

which xerox, of course, spent great deals of money promoting people to use the term copy, out of fear that they would lose their rights over the word xerox
yes, far too expensive for what your getting. THe only real advantage is the really low weight, but most of use could care less. Plus, who wants a notebook loaded with lindows crap? o_0
the source code is on their site, you just have to dig around. And all it really is is the modified kernel if I remember correctly. The weak GPL license doesnt force them to distribute code for things that are entirely theirs but based on top of linux.
It would be foolish to look at whats on blogs as being whats popular. If there was a sudden burst of people blogging about palladium, it would be foolish to mistake it for being popular. Instead, a burst of mentionings really means more along the lines of what is a hot topic. Well, at least IMHO.
I, as many of you probably, find the layout annoying for programming. I hate having to hold the shift key to enter \/ and so forth, should be placed more conveniently on keyboards, also, more programable shortcut buttons should be placed on keyboards.
hilarious, very strange, but its a viable patent in my opinion, of course IANAL. Anyway, they do specify that the nozzle would be aligned in a manner that stimulates the clit, which my hot tub doesnt have (i checked, jsut to be sure) so that additional nozzle does make it a valid patent, to an extent. I mean, what guy hasnt already thought of this.... or maybe it was just me...
not only was making money on the internet started by pr0n industries, but it remains one of the most lucrative internet business. In fact, one could say that the modern internet was founded by pr0n (after it was out of the hands of govt and in the hands of bussiness) and that each and every porn starved pervert is the reason you have/. and other sites.
you would think that would be plenty, but it really isn't, at least not for the complex and intricate parts of maya. You need a fully decked pc with at least a gf4 (preferably a quadro4) 3d studio max on the other hand should run well on a laptop with said specs.
as for the video editors, yeah, 2.5 is plenty of raw power, but then again, 2.5Ghz is far more than the average user needs. Though i am envious of your laptop.
i realize that your just trying to prove your geek merit, but no one likes it when you nit-pick a joke. It was funny, the understanding of moore's law was a bit off for the sake of the joke, and my grammar/spelling is atrocious, get over it.

lol, excellent commercial, it would be banned from american air waves, but then again, galileo was excommunicated, so genuis is never appreciated.
on a non-related note, the game on your journal rules - but it might be time for you to stop dling pr0n... just a thought.
