  1. Re:from the because-you-don't-need-3ghz-HT-laptops on Intel Announces New, Slower, Chip · · Score: 1

i dont know about most of the world (well actually i do, but thats aside the point) i really do need (well, really, really, really want) a 3Ghz laptop. Wouldnt this be a wonderful world if i would run Maya 4.5 from my couch.... well, then again, the graphics card still couldnt handle well, but my video editors would run extra-super--lucky-fast!!!

  2. Nice transition for Intel on Intel Announces New, Slower, Chip · · Score: 1

Intel has slowly, noticed it or not, started to improve efficiency as well as increase there clockspeeds with ease. The whole intel HT was just a way to squeeze more bang for the cycle, and that's good for the end user. Unless of course they run more office apps than other things, but those people dont usually buy 3Ghz comps anywho, so thats kinda beside the point. Either way, Intel should increase their efficiency as it benefits us, the user. I really wish my athlon had the clock cycles of an intel, or an intel had the efficiency of my AMD, and intel is at least trying to become more effecient. Who knows, my next comp might be a Pentium V (or whatever it will be called, i really dont care).
So, yeah, in a way, Intel is kinda being a little hypocritical as its down what it has so often mocked. But then again, so many companies take the very path they have openly rejected, and this time, we benefit. YAY! PS: im sick of waiting for the Athlon64!

oh, yeah, and macs suxor ^_^ -- not so much the hardware, but the operating system (pre-X i meanz)

okay, a few problems bot not too bad of an idea:

    1. i can already get the files i want without paying even one cent, so what incentive do i have.
    2. the music industry is still profitable, so music will still be produced so what incentive do i have to pay. it will exist even if i dont.
    3. the music industry doesnt see that as very profitable. thats why they charge $20 a cd. about 100years ago, Henry Ford leared that making a small amount of profit on a large amount products equals a helluvalot more cash than lots of prof on little prod. It seems that the music industry is a bit behind the times.
    4. Leechers - i hate - you hate them - they dont want to share songs in order to get songs. personally, i share well over 1,000 files and wish others would open up their bandwidth and files, but thats a discussion for another day. really, leechers are the people who most use p2p anywho so this idea of share and share alike doesnt work out too well...

and on that note i was dling a file off of someone on kazaa with the username of "theonlypersonsharing" ... wow, i know that feeling.

No, definitely not a flame, but not entirely accurate either. I wholeheartedly agree that more money should be spent o education (maybe then my spelling wouldn't be so atrocious {sp?}). But as it stands, the gov't already spends millions of dollars in military recruitment. All those commercials you seee on tv don't come cheap. And all the free t-shirts, water-bottles, etc. that they give out around the US cames at a price. Recently, the Navy came over my high school and brought along a hydrolic flight simulator. As you can imagine, it smelt like ass by the end of the day and recruited no one. Long story short, the gov't should spend more on education and the likes, but it's not happening anytime soon (just look at that retarded missle defense (is that an 's' or a 'c') system we're building. In contrast, however, the game didnt cost much to develop and little to maintain. And more importantly, its proven to be an excellent recruitment tool. All in all, this is one of the wisest decisions the systems made in a good while (in my opinion anywho). Plus, I love the game ^_^
