Take a course in assembly, you will learn a lot about programming on the hardware level. It might take you a couple of semesters to get to a high enough level to do graphics, but you will have a much clearer picture of programming in general, wether it be c/c++/java/perl/php/whatever.

You might even become really intrested in it go for a major in computer engineering.

Perhaps more importantly, this network would be verymuch unreliable... $20 in equipment to make a device that interrupts all 802.11b/g signals in the area. That's not going to be a good thing if EBAY wants to put a site up...

I agree.. how could a network with no actual backbone last any sort of time, especially when its first starting off when fewer people have the equipment. A network purely based on 802.11 would need an incredable amount of redudancy.

Also while this plan might sound good going from city to close city (10-20 miles away), what happens when you run into a dessert or a mountain? There are physical problems with a network like that.

With current technology and current level of technology craze, I would say this project would be impossible.

oh ok.. you want to put everything in one unit,

so put a normal computer, camera, fax, printer, scanner, tv, mobile phone, kitchen sink, etc, into one unit.

    problems

    a) price
    b) what happens when a single part of the unit breaks down?
    c) what ever happened to do one thing, and do it well?
    d) interface, how are you going to operate all that shit at the same time, better yet how are you going to operate one part of it when the controls for the rest of it are getting in the way?
    e) looks, is it just me or does that labtop/camera look like hell?

its true that some things NATURALLY go together, but a camera and a labtop dont fit the bill
