    If you are on call beyond 40 hours per week and unless you were retarded to have taken the job knowing you're not gonna get paid pas the 40 hours then then you have to get paid.

    A friend of mine works for a water filtration company, he was asked if he wanted to be on call. He said yes and he get paid double time for the on call and if its on call for more then certain amount of hours it goes up from there.

    If the employer wants to make money of me past the 40 hours per week they better pay their share other wise I ain't putting out.

    Why the hell would anyone want to be such a slave?

When she needed to edit some photos I got her to download GIMP. You know know what she said... Only after I explained to her what is was did she kinda accept the name.

    Then why are you still working there? I got screwed over by my last employer of 7 years and it didn't take me that long to talk to a couple of suppliers that I knew didn't like the company and get them to connect me with other possible employers. A month later I gave my notice.

    On the other hand it would be in best interest of big corporation that these poor countries don't move up and prosper as this kills cheap labor.

    and this comes from someone who knows next to nothing about php or any other programming language. Setting up a small site/community site is pretty easy and you don;t need a book, you read the forums. NOW I will say this that multi user multimedia control or say a photo gallery is a fucking chore to set up and eventually you just give up .There are a few promising modules like Node Gallery and one of the better ones Acid Free Albums which isn't even maintained anymore.

    working for a local ISP for 3 years were I originally was hired to do web page design only/ I ended up doing web page design, billing, sales and answering 100 support calls per day. Yah burnt out pretty good and quit. Two weeks later I got hired at a local hydroponics store. Then after several years I ended up as the manager of that store which was a part of a chain of stores. Seven years at that company I quit over employee bonuses not being paid out and other bullshit and went to a another local smaller hydro store as a manager with the same pay as before.

    So now I have the best of both worlds. I get to work at a very relaxed environment get paid better then most people and run a few web sites for my new employer. One of the sites is an e-commerce site and once its set up I get 50% of the profits that come in from on-line sales.

    There were a lot of companies doing or trying to offer advertising in free computers or free Internet access. If someone has copies of The Computer Paper from Canada from the late 90's and early 2000 there should be ads in there for those kinds of offers.

    is write a bot/virus that downlods/shares music/software automatically with out the windows user knowing it. It them could send an email to the bits and bytes police stating that this person is sharing illegal files. This should shut down big chunk of windows users and people that use computers at work. I can see quite the profit drop for the ISP's and other mayham.

    I love monster trucks and wrestling well... blah. But at the end of the day even though I might find it stupid, fake and a soap opera I'm not gonna go to great lengths like some religious/I'm better then you freak and try to point out all the faults with the said entertainment style its just entertainment. I accept the fact that there are people out there that love to watch what I hate and it makes them feel good. I know it hard to accept such blasphemy but took me a while to realize it.

    As a 9-5 working stiff what will this car offer me if its costs 20-30K CDN when I can get tons of compact used cars for 2-4K that get 30mpg+ and this still leaves me with $15-25K+ for gas and car maintenance which I'd be hard pressed to use up for years and years.

    Say I take my '74 BMW 2002 and say it costs me $200 per month to drive to work and back I'd be spending $2400 per year on gas which still leaves me tons of leeway for car maintenance costs and gas price inflation. Now substitute a 1995+ Honda Civic for my BMW and my maintenance costs go down even further. So unless all electric cars make a big fast difference in our average working joes life I don't see that huge amount of people dropping their daily drivers.

    Now if they can get me that kind of electric battery millage for my 88 Bronco with 35" mudders I'm game for an electric Bronco conversion.

    If you can download music for free, why bother purchase it from itunes? However,

    Because in Canada every time I burnt a distro or backed up my own photos some musician rights group got the levy I paid on the cd's. And they wonder why I don't buy ANY new music besides being shit. They're greedy enough to make me pay to use cd for things other then music, well I'll just download all I can for free.
