I live in the affected area (Northeast US) and have the same method of heating as 60% of this area: Home heating oil.
I've half considered trying to find a generator that would tap into my home heating oil tank for fuel. Hey, a 300 gallon tank, even half full at 150 gallons, would power a generator for at least a couple weeks, right? Also, it would power my furnace (which requires electric ignition to operate the spark plug.)
Of course, if power were out for a couple weeks, I'd have a little more to worry about than just generating my own.
Actually, I'm playing through Chrono Cross (yes, for the first time), and I'm finding it a much better story line than Chrono Trigger had. Doesn't have all the time hopping, but the alternate worlds is a difference.
Chrono Trigger was good, in its respect. FF6 still rocks, though.
I agree about the one-way Direct Connect problem. Although, if you think about it, a two-way version is also known as a phone (and Nextel's with DC can function as speakerphones with the built in speaker). I still think it would be a nice capability to build in full-duplex into DC functionality as well.
There is one way around the waiting for someone to stop talking that I have found. At least on my I-80, whenever someone is talking to you over Direct Connect, the "Exit" option is still active on screen. If you press that, it forces a disconnect (and gives an annoying beep on the other end, analogous to the "person busy" error.) Then you can talk to them, or do whatever.
Well, I could easily see them phasing out PS1 game backward compatibility. It might not be the best step for them to do, as it will alienate some gamers. But, as with almost all companies out there, you do have to stop supporting legacy hardware and software at some time (in this case, only the software part counts).
I hope they don't, though, as having the backward compatibility built in saves on the number of boxes you have to hook to your TV.
...and read The Lord of The Rings trilogy once a year. Should always be an entertaining read, and you'll catch some stuff not included in the movies.
Now, the articles I read about his doing this didn't say if he read The Hobbit or the assorted tails in the Silmarillion. I'd assume he's read the tales in the Silmarillion at least a few times.
Or sharks... yeah, All I want are frickin' sharks with frickin' lasers on their foreheads.
Oh, wait. You said you wanted this for a FLOOR... not a pool.
Maybe call in Kevin McCallister, from Home Alone. He might be able to rig up a good butane torch at head level so whoever enters that door... well, let's just say they won't want to go in again. That, among other such traps.
Close. You can use the phone aboard the plane during boarding until the plane is ready to leave the gate, and again at the destination gate from the time the plane touches the gate until you are allowed to disembark.
Reason I clarify that is there can be a 30-minute time period between when you actually set foot onto the plane and when it actually starts to taxi away... I had that problem at MSP in January where a group of about 30 people coming in on another flight to connect onto mine landed 10 minutes late, and the pilot chose to wait for them and while baggage was moved from plane to plane.
X-Men 2 is Wednesday, May 2nd. Matrix Reloaded is Thursday, May 15 (which is odd, because most movies don't launch on a Thursday). Terminator 3 is coming out Wednesday, July 2nd.
X-men 2 and Matrix Reloaded will both be clamoring for viewers. X-men 2 will open on the bigger screens in theaters when it comes out, but be moved off to the smaller screens when Matrix Reloaded comes out.
However, Matrix Reloaded will have been out for a month and a half when T3 comes out, and a lot of the big theater chains like to pull movies right about that age. Plus, T3 is coming out 4th of July week, which is when movies really get hyped.
Myself, I'd like to be going to Cannes on May 17th, when T3's getting it's world premiere.
Well, SDF-1 was, after the fold accident to Pluto, an aircraft carrier in space as well. Actually, it was 2 aircraft carriers brought along for the ride that then were welded to the ship, later to be the arms of the humanoid form.
My boss bought one of these to use with his Verizon Motorola phone. I don't remember a site off the top of my head, but it was a cradle that you put the cell phone into, plugged into wall-power, and had a RJ11 (phone) jack on it.
It worked just fine, but the standard dial-tone sounded slightly off tone. It was either the weird dial-tone or the fact it was going over the cell network that stopped him from doing his ultimate goal, having his Tivo dial over the cell network and get listings.
Unfortunately, I could only find ones for older (pre-1998) phones at the time, and even then, only for Nokia and Motorola.
American components, Russia Components...
they're all MADE IN TAIWAN!

Yes, I think it might be...

I think it went the same direction as the Open Source Aircraft Carrier .
And before you get any ideas: No, I don't think that aircraft carrier is large enough to launch SouthEast Airlines commercial flights.
Ugh... as if we don't have enough Bang this and Bang that, now we'll have BangPlane.com.

Yes, someone please port the nude patch, so it also works on the new models.
Horrible quality wav, but proves that it was Inigo, not Fezzik:

Sounds like Zoe Williams (the author of The Guardian article) is taking a line from Inigo Montoya:
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
And the next one won't be as flimsy.
If you are in CT (as I am), the state says they'll be merging their registry into the federal one automatically. You don't need to re-register.

Wooohooo!
That'll put marzipan in your pie-plate, Bingo!
Not exactly sure what you mean by that "pun "(except room 101 is usually the hotel manager's quarters in some hotel's.)
My response is that at least it wasn't room 217 (or, if you go by the film, room 237).

You forgot to mention Zombo.com
To spare you six different stories about the Borg, we'll assimilate them all into this one.
Yes, but what about the Borg Icons? I only see a hardware and business icon. And on the front page, I see no icons at all!
Practice, my son. Lots of practice.
Also, a trip to this page to learn the latest in the art of puppy kicking and other such related activites.
