Couldn't agree more about Richard E. Grant, I am disappointed that he won't be taking on the role again though. I don't think Christopher Ecclestone will be able to carry it off, but I guess time will too.
As for companions, I wouldn't mind seeing:
-Lucy Davis (The Office)
-Daniela Denby-Ashe(My Family)
-Lauren Laverne?
Chalmers: Doctor who?
Skinner: Not the pronoun, but rather a doctor with the unlikely name of "Who".
Chalmers: Well that's just great, Seymour. We've been out here six seconds and you've already managed to blow the routine.Sexless freak.
I think that is a Bad Idea(tm). vi/emacs,cli nmap and mpg321 are not what newbies want, they want KWrite, nmapfe and XMMS. Just because more experienced users prefer them, doesn't mean they are the best introduction to a newbie, not by a long shot.
I read a piece about him in the tree-unfriendly Mail on Sunday sometime last year and apparently he (or was it his wife?) tried mutilating an existing cuddly orangutan, but it didn't fit.
IIRC from an article in the *cough*Mail on Sunday*cough* a few days ago, he's drawing a 6-figure salary even though he hasn't made a television programme in over 4 years.
ALL OF YOU! Can you please stop trying to use books as an example and then thinking you've proved your point when the analogy fails!
1) Company X modifies a GPLed program, or releases it's own program under the GPL license.
2) Company Y buys the GPLed binary, and recieves an offer to obtain the source.
3) Company Y, when it releases the binary, must release it under the same license as when they recieved it. This is stated in the copy of the GPL they recieved with the original program.
4) Consumer JOE who recieves a copy of the binary, from Company Y must also recieve a copy of/offer to obtain the source which can be built into the same binary he recieved, or Company Y is breaking the terms of the GPL and must cease distributing the binary entirely.
And another interesting point...if it is still easy to buy pirate copies of Windows $VER, then why is uptake of LinuxTLE increasing? Is it a better product? (Rhetorical question..;o)
Someone needs a clue-bashing with the OSI model. A new internet protocol that's faster than DSL?? So...it negates the use a physical transmission system..or...what?
Err..considering how old he is, it wouldn't surprise me that he uses the word "autos", I seem to recall them being referred to as such by Mr. Toad/Kenneth Grahame. Same with the "hood" thing...though that's possibly less likely...
I'm in no doubt as to the shenanigans, but I don't think that his use of language is the primary factor in establishing that;)
Company A manufactures printers and ink cartridges.
Company B comes along and starts making printers which use Company A's cartridges.
Their patent on the Gameboy is for the technology they used for interpreting the code on a GB cartridge and providing an interactive gaming experience. Their patent should not cover *all* technology used to interpret GB cartridge code and produce an interactive gaming experience.
I use WineX to run games designed for Windows on GNU/Linux, am I doing anything wrong? If not, how is this any different from your example?
One of the biggest, earliest overclocking retailers in the UK (with the best forums may I add...) had their entire site design stolen by a korean overclocking company I believe, aaaages ago. And I'm sure they weren't the first...
It depends..if the guy really has matured, then sure.
If he's just afraid to try it on because you could kick his ass..maybe he's the boss who makes his subordinates feel like shit all the time because he can, the wife-beater or maybe "just" the guy who intimidates other motorists whilst driving.
Maybe violence is never the answer, but maybe sometimes it is.
The only problem with that idea is that you could either: charge the battery, or commute from point a to point b. A human wouldn't [likely] produce enough energy to do both.
Sooo - you could sit in the Target parking lot with your kickstand down pedaling like mad to charge your battery so you could ride home; or you could just peddle home and charge your battery when you get there.
I don't know why this idiotic "idiom" is so pervasive in American English. Everyone over here can use it correctly, thus:
"I couldn't care less" - I care the smallest amount,it's impossible for me to care any less.
I was going to say "maybe something got lost in translation" and now that I have, I just want to kill Sofia Coppola again, way to make me recall repressed memories, jackass.

The guy up ^there^ who posted this link said it.
:o/
My post pre-supposed that it could be taken at face-value. But then...this *is* the interner

There is no loophole you fucking idiots.

Did the stricter policing of pirated copies of Windows enable Linux to gain popularity?
Or did the vendors realise that more people were buying LinuxTLE, and so the risk involved in pirating Windows outweighed the benefits...?
Asia is a big market for Microsoft to lose out in, and it'll be interesting to see what happens when they have to compete with others.

Offtopic? Gah, some of these moderators need to have Cheetarah's pole broken off in their ass.
I saw the site before it appeared on Slashdot*, and the links were already foobar.
*having followed links via BoingBoing.net, which I came to from here anyway I think..some dude showing of some "fancy" gadgets..

You mean, like Windows 2000 isn't the 2000th version of Windows..?
I know, I know...YHBT but everyone is free to browse at -1, so don't start any of that censor-shit here troll.
I truly believe that it's better for uninformed voters to stay the fuck away from the ballot boxes, for exactly this reason.

I say all this as a card-carrying coward.
No, if software is outlawed, only outlaws will be software.
According to the news the other day, McDonalds are going to phase out super-size fries and drinks in the UK. :'( :'(
Shut the fuck up Donnie.
