Googlepedia Firefox extension. Haven't tried it myself yet, it seems to replace Wikipedia search with Google, would be handy to have one of those standard Firefox search address bar plug-ins that uses Google on Wikipedia also.
The problem is what happens when these 'extras' can be used in a multiplayer game against people without them.
This happened in Battlefield 2, they released the expansion pack that allowed people to get access to more powerfull guns while playing against regular people.
Fortunatly the rest of there optional extras seem to be limited to playing with people that also have them.
Problem is they don't need there games to be brought by large numbers of people with this system, they just need a few rich ones, or people willing to buy over a long period of time.
It's like a MMORPG, since your paying per month it doesn't seem much but after about 3 months you have already payed more than the box cost of a normal game, everything after that is profit other than the hosting and DM staff costs which when split over the number of people playing is probally close to nothing.
Of course for the average person they can simply avoid these games atleast untill more companies do what EA did with Battlefield 2, that is release an expansion pack that gives players access to more powerfull weapons while playing against people without the expansion pack.
The best (evilest) thing sony could do would be release the game as normal with a massive focus on multiplayer, then a few months later after most poeple have brought the game they can let people purchase faster cars then people who want to beable to keep up will also have to purchase the cars. Large numbers of people might stop playing but they have already purchased the initial game, and those that remain behind end up spending 3x the amount they paid for the game although its over the period of months/years since sony could just release 1 car upgrade a month for a few $ (and a few cheaper visual only upgrades which are likly to get purchased along side).
If they do remove the pop3 stuff you can still use a program like MrPostman or PopGoestheGmail to access it as pop3. http://mrpostman.sourceforge.net/

Nice to know pac-man now dies although i think i will stick with the bouncing cow screensaver. Anything with a bouncing cow in it is sure to be awsome.
You can try running http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=U&start=1&q=http://www.nocrew.org/software/httptunnel.html&e=747 it proxys your connection through as a http connection so it can go through firewalls. You need to setup the server on your ssh server and run the client on your workstation and the connect to local host.
The main problem with putty is the fact that it uses the registery to store configuration settings, i did see a bat script that copied the registery settings from your drive to the computer then restored them but it didn't work very well.
The console still need to be serviced if they break, although I wouldn't be suprised if sony did do something like that but I guess telling everyone they have to buy a new console because the cdrom laser became unalined and carn't be replaced/adjusted because the screws where covered in some epoxy might not be legal, would make them alot of money though with everone needing an entire new console from a simple problem.
Also the epoxy coating might cause heating issues, and ps2 already has overheating problems.
You can also simply set the number of days in the History option under privacy to 0. An even better idea is to start firefox with the -profilemanager commandline paramater, create a special profile called somthing such as "noprofile", and set all the cache, history, cookies etc... to not be stored. You can then make a script/shortcut file that runs "firefox -profile noprofile" which will load that profile.
You can do things such as put an obviouly diffrent skin on it to make sure you arn't running the wrong profile and install flashgot to allow you to grab entire image/movie gallerys.
You can have a custom adblock filter list to remove nonrelevant images such as those backgrounds, banners and image borders that sites have which slows down your browsing.
Under linux I have everything setup to use an highly encrypted filesystem so nothing can be accessed without the password, if you have your images, firefox profile, and its starting script in there then noone will beable to find anything also because its encrypted and only accessable by you, you can leave the history to be saved and create bookmarks etc. Just remember to unmount the filesystem and clear the loopback device.
I don't think bioware are the ones making nwn2,its Obsidian from memory. Bioware are currently doing Dragon Age probally due to the heavy restrictions from using AD&D ip. Bioware arn't even allowed to enable player/creature stats to be changed via scripting commands, it must be done manually with the dm client or through external programs.
pskill is a windows killall clone.
Also lots of other tools in the suite for other process related stuff including remote process stuff.

Anyone remember those sega lock-on things. They where quite good considering they where only a gun and a headset. Several game modes and teams. They where quite robust also. Coolest feature though was the huds that showed your score (Just a small bit of plastic that reflected the letters).

I had an old IR keyboard. The thing would randomly stop working for no reaason, I checked the batteries, connection, etc... In the end I realised that it wasn't working whenever I turned on the light in my room (one of those funny shaped energy saving things that take 15min to actually get to a usable lighting level). I switched back to a normal light and it went back to working fine.
The system looks sweet, but is having 2 screens and a "stylus" realy just a gimic or do you think it will actually have uses? Also it seems nintendo are close to releasing gaming PDAs (palmpiolet pen, wi-fi, chat programs, microphone) =P
All they need to do is stick some storage space and an operating system (linux of course =P) in there. Although this would probally be bad marketing as currently you would have to pay for the cartridge for every bit of software (such as that chat program). Hopfully some company will make an operating system for it (or a hobbiest with one of those flash cartridges).
I just installed Dropline Gnome like 20min ago, IT RAWKS. Its heaps faster than the stock gnome install becasue it has optimization and other big words.

Is it just me or are they copying Stargate in more than just the Atlantis name?
http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/153079main_at lantis_bn.jpg - STS-115/SG-1 makes me want to photoshop the stargate in behind then :p

Are shrunken coins still legal tender?

You can always make the key something like a short poem or haiku and copyright it :)
That NoSoftwarePatents.com link appears to be broken.

Actually its a free feature. When you bring the PDA closer to you it gets larger and the further away it gets smaller it becomes.
Actually if you just search for "the answer to life the universe and everything" without any mathmatical stuff it will still popup the calculator =)
