Why cann't they just let ME decide which version I want to watch, the ones with all the new features or the one "customized" for the country i happen to connect from.

And they probably use MSVC. Everyone uses MSVC. They'd be on crack if they didn't.
Heh... Cue ten million replies saying MSVC is The SuXX0rs:D
I totally agree with this. I'm playing the expansion pack Ressurrection of Evil right now, and it further extends Doom 3 while getting closer to the feeling of Doom 1 & 2 (ie. more enemies at once, and a more frantic pace).
It also helps if you're using a decent piece of BT software, like Azureus. Last time I used the official BT client, it used so much of my outgoing bandwidth that it seriously throttled my download bandwidth as well (including browsing, email checking and so forth). With Azureus, you don't need to match the up speed with your down speed, as long as you just set it up to use a fair bit of your upload capacity. Works great:)
Dr. Who, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica are the finest sci fi shows currently running. That's what matters. Not all those has been-shows from the 40s to the 90s.
I think it'd be interesting to see Jackson helm the Halo movie project, but personally, I'm waiting for him to film the Hobbit. I hope he's still going to go ahead with that:).
Uwe Boll must be cheap to hire. What else could explain Microsofts decision (if it was theirs to make) to use him for Halo. Maybe it was just poor editing on IMDB's case.

When an update for IE is available, it is automatically installed. When an updat for Firefox is ready, I have to download the browser itself and install it on top of the existing. (No, the auto-updates in Firefox doesn't work very well).
He may be right about the other points, though I doubt it, but it's far easier to update IE than Firefox.
The original rant didn't mention anything about safe searching. Thompson would still have a fit about having to turn on safe searching to avoid pornographic material (or as he would have thought of it, hax0ring Google).

Yeah I was. Until I saw the video. While it was corny and cheesy and full of japanese teenagers, it still managed to look like an interesting controller. I'm going to check this out when it is eventually released in Europe, nine to twelve months after the japanese release....
Spot on. I used to work in an open office environment, and I was constantly annoyed by people chatting about what they've seen on TV, read in the paper and discussing personal stuff that really is of no interest to anyone (like discussing what they did in the weekends, how many miles they had to drive to take their offspring to the hockey game or whatever). The worst part is that everybody thought I was being unsocial, by using noise cancelling headphones, just because I wanted to concentrate on my work.
Rumour has it there's a strong chance it'll get renewed. It's all down to the ratings and how many people watch it, though. I agree with you -- this season has been a blast, and has taken SG-1 to new heights. While I'm sad to see RDA leave the show, I think the new cast members are terrific, and the new enemy is awesome.
Yeah, old stuff can be better than the new stuff. Yesterday, my daughter and I sat down to play a game on the Xbox (she's 5). She has a bit of a problem with the controller (the S controller, of course) so we decided to drop it. I dug out my old C64, a couple of joysticks and loaded Bubble Bobble. We played for an hour or so, and she found the joystick so much easier and fun to use.:)
The Amiga was much more than a games machine. The developers vision was to create a supreme audio, graphics and multi-tasking computer. When Commodore purchased it, they wanted a games machine. So, it became both, but it was an amazing computer for its time. (I use an 60MHz Amiga 2000 to this day.)
It's like that time, you know, when a lot of scientists went to Mars in that big selling game I can't remember the name of, and all hell broke loose and then everybody died, you know. Sucks, really. Except for that one guy, though. I'm sure he racked it up in benefits when he came home. Kinda like Sigourney Weaver. Oh man, what a cool story we're all discussing. Thanks, Vicissidude!
Doom 2 looks okay on a GBA, but it's really not that playable, given the GBAs input keys. Doom 2 on PSP is a far better deal, as you can play with the same files as on the PC original, and you got analog input (admittedly not the best analog input in the world, but it's there never the less).
Wow, that's elitist. Not everything centers around the US, you know. ;)

Meet the feebles was pretty funny and absolutely disgusting at the same time. Brilliant! :)

Eh, so. They don't get even get updates, because update are only available for XP. So BZZT yourself.
Hehe. True, this is a big big flaw that needs to rectified, especially since Windows doesn't re-open apps on reboot.

I wish I had mod points right now. Despite the language, the parent has a good point and should absolutely not have been modded off topic.
